SolheartStud Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Is there any easy way to deal with Hazama's wake-up flash kick? Maybe it's just because I was playing online but I'm not sure how to answer this move. By the way, there's no invincibility on this move right? So if you're close enough to him, you can beat it out with a meaty (such as 5B) right?
LuminAbyss Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 If you mean Gashoukyaku ( aka 214D > B ) he can't cancel into it the first 7 frames of stance. So I think it would lose to meaties.
Zeron_X25 Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Flash kick has invincibility. But like Lumin said, it doesn't activate immediately so it loses to meaties.
SolheartStud Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Thought so, so spacing is important when you knock Hazama down. At least I know that now thanks! What about tips for approaching him? Any specific tips like what should be respected from Hazama?
Godlike Assault Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Except if he have a Jayoku in stock, you can stay close from him without fears IMO,only his 3C as counter can be a pain(4k incoming)6D is very useful against him.His 214D~B took time,so try to block him in a corner and anticipates if he escape with his D. Anti-airs can help you too you know lol.
Fluck Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Avoid going into 5C during blockstrings against him at a distance when he has 50 meter, because he can IB and punish with Jayoku. You can avoid this if you're close enough to cancel into 2C or 3C without whiffing those moves. Alternatively you can cancel into ID or Hell's Fang but those aren't much safer either. You can probably RC if you have the meter too.
KayEff Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 or, if you're expecting the jayoku to happen after 5C has been IB'd, you can actually cancel 5C into either inferno divider or blood kain for a guaranteed punish.
