The venue is done at one but the last train comes by @ 11:42. If you do show up, that would be cool. Of course that depends on if I'm able to go lol!

I am confirmed for Game Pazzo. I haven't gotten a call from the base so it looks like I can go.

Big ups and shoutouts alike to everyone that showed up on Monday, we got some good matches in.

Now just in case you guys don't know, there is an event tomorrow at the Game Pazzo venue and there will be tournaments that includes P4U, if you have nothing going on, you should show up and play, if you don't want to play, show up and support the venue and the players that are coming out.

This game won't thrive on it's own, people have to come out and show up to play, so if you can please do so. There will be a stream tomorrow night as well, it will probably cover finals for P4U and many other games. For those who can't make it, you can watch from this channel here:

This is the stream where Chicago Gaming goes down, so follow it if you're not already to show your support. Tournaments are supposed to start around 8:30PM tomorrow night so if you can't make it out you can watch us play, but it would be cool to have a bunch of you guys show up.

Also, for those who didn't know, the front page has been updated with the venues and their dates. Game Pazzo is the new hot venue and it has tons of room! If you haven't been there and you happen to have some time off on a Friday, please hit this place up, the anime scene here is growing and there are a lot more Persona/BlazBlue players here than at any other venue. Along with the release of GG:AC+ around the corner, expect there to be more people that might be interested.

There are also various other players that play SSFIV:AE, Marvel, KOF, TTT2 and SFxT even SF:ST was there! No matter what game you're into, it's being played there so come on out and play some games with us on Friday nights!

Here you have it everyone, the very first tournament on a Saturday at Galloping Ghost Arcade(console room). Galloping Ghost Arcade has been helping the scene bloom here in Chicago for a while now and with that said they ain't stopping there! Fright Fight is the first of a series that will be full of great games and times. We have many games to enter, chose your poison and have a great time!

GGA is pleased to announce that we are getting a big passenger Van that could sit close to 11-15 people in it. The plan is to pick up people from the City at a specific location to bring them to the event and will also drop them off to the location after the event is done. More info soon as its available!

Venue Fee Info -

$5 = Party Room Venue, after that its $10 per game tournament you want to join. You can only participate in the Party Room Events(cant touch cabinets)

$15 (Save $5)= Party Room Venue, Galloping Ghost Arcade Venue(you can play on all the cabinets) and also lets you enter all of the GGA cabinet tournaments they run. It normally cost you $15 to enter the arcade area only, this is a special offer for the day! You going to be there for a while might as well play some games on the cabinets! Cabinet tournament line-up currently is UMvC3, SSF4:AE2012 and SF3:Third Strike. More might be added as well!

Please do not touch any cabinets if you did not pay to be on them or you could risk being banned.

Payout -

70/20/10 split for the pot in each game tournament!

EXTRA POT BONUS INFORMATION

So I decided it was only fair to award the game with MOST ENTRANTS a $100 pot bonus, the next 4 with MOST ENTRANTS will get $50 extra added to the pot. You want the pot bonus? Support your game then by helping promote the event for your game!!

General Rules

PS3 Dualshock Wireless controllers are permitted only with a connecting cord and with the understanding that they must remain off when they are not being used. If any irregularities or disputes occur, the players involved should attempt to resolve them among themselves. If they cannot, only then may it be referred to the tournament organizer

2/3 matches winners/losers - bracket

3/5 matches winners/losers/grand - finals

90 Seconds

Damage Setting 2

Winner keeps character, loser may change Stage or Character, but NEVER both.

Stage is always random, unless both players agree.

Bath house stage is BANNED

ANY GLITCH THAT CAUSES IRREGULAR PLAY IN UNIVERSAL SYSTEM MECHANICS IS BANNED

Akamaru and Karasu are BANNED

11:00 am - Doors Open

11:30 am - Sign-up starts for all tournaments

12:30 pm - Sign-up ends for SSF4: AE12, Persona 4, MK9

1:00 pm - SSF4: AE12, Tekken Tag 2, MK9, and Persona 4 tournaments begin

4:30 pm - Sign-up ends for UMvC3, KoF, Naruto GNT4, and SC5

5:00 pm - UMvC3, KoF, Naruto GNT4, and SC5 tournaments begin

8:30 pm - CvS2, SF3:3S, Guilty Gear XXACR, DoA5 sign-ups end

9:00 pm - CvS2, SF3:3S, Guilty Gear XXACR, DoA5 tournaments begin

2:00 am - Venue closes(will stay open till we done though)

Call for Volunteers

We will need a lot of volunteers in order to make this tournament run. First, we need a bunch of people to bring systems and set-ups. We cannot run this tournament without systems and set-ups. Please bring systems if you can!!! We also need people to help out to help out with the duty of running brackets. Please post in the thread if you are willing to volunteer for any of these duties. PLEASE BRING SETUPS!

Food

GGA does have Pizza/Drinks/Snacks available for people attending and not wanting to go far for it! There is a Chinese restaurant next door though, 2 Mexican restaurants within a block a way, Thai Restaurant 1 block away, and a Bar and Grill called Brixie's 2 blocks away.

@Blinky: Naruto GNT4 was an import on GC and I used to play that.

Update on my current situation. I'll be in SoCal this coming week so I'll obviously miss our local casuals. When I get back I'm going to be busy on my off days since my cousin from Japan is here so I'm going to be showing her around. With my recent commitment to NEC I'll be back to making casuals in November most likely at GamePazzo and NC. Hope to see you guys soon!

Naruto GNT4 is a very solid fighter (If not most of the series). It's rarely seen because it's a JP import on the GC and it's controls aren't too crazy on the GC either. A simple but solid yet fun game and hit! If I have the cash, I will be participating in this too (It's been WAY too long since I've played it).

I hate Naruto but GNT4 was fun. Itachi OP swag and Kisame damage into chakra drain super too strong. I have GNT4, but I haven't touched it in years

There really isn't a specific place to call a monthly anymore. Reason NC was our monthly was because we had such a small number playing BB. As of late though, we have tons of players playing all sorts of games which is a good thing! Illinois community has been strong and now we're up to four different venues per week! Just as it was before, don't limit yourself to just once a month or if certain people are going, because there are plenty of people coming out. Even though our thread isn't really that active there are tons of people that come out from MM, SRK, and even new faces due to word of mouth and other friends. If NC is the only convenient one for you then that's fine. No one is forcing anyone to travel anywhere or go out, but we highly encourage that you do so you can get offline casual and also because its always a great time. Shin has been making most of the gatherings even the ones by my area so saying you have no transportation isn't really an excuse =p

Like I mentioned in my previous post, I'll be busy for the rest of the month but I will be back to casuals starting November

oh looks like i looked at google maps wrong, game pazzo isnt that far from me, thought it said roughly two hour drive, but it was actually 40 min drive lol. still nickel city is closer to me so that'll be the main place i go to. anyway how is it going everyone? i take it school is the main reason no one is talking lately.

For the most part, yes. This is my case. I pop in here and there to see what's going on but rarely post due to projects and stuff.

Subscribed in Tapatalk so I see every update, I'm just occupied lately with personal business. I'm still trying to get out to Game Pazzo one of these weekends but life keeps happening.

I need someone to force me to keep a schedule. Then I could decline more of these obligations for since I "already have plans"
