iyse Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 I've been hearing different answers for this. When I loaded up Extend I didn't get an option to transfer over my CS save. I want to know if this is a bug or if you really can't transfer over your save. If you can, how would I go about changing it.
Jigoku_Roa Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 It's impossible, if you're thinking of transferring every DLC from CS, they are now unlockable in Extend via Gallery w/ game currency and leveling up. Anything else is impossible.
Anonymous Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 does Extend use the same leveling system BBCS2 psp had?

pktazn Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 The only thing that transfers over from what I saw is the story mode data so you don't have to do stories again, not counting the new characters obviously. It gave me the option but I had to sign onto PSN to be able to do it.

I just want to transfer over my story mode progress since I don't want to have to play them all again to get to the new stories.
Zx Swifty Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I'm on 360 and when I first started BBCSE I accidentally skipped through a menu option that I'm assuming let me copy over saved story data from BBCS, I seemed to have canceled through it and have none of my story data, is there a way to get my story data back?

pktazn Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 It gave me the option the minute I put in the game. I just assumed that it happened to everyone because I definitely don't have to do any of the other character's stories besides the new ones. @Zx and iyse: if you guys haven't done anything too major yet maybe deleting the system data then installing it again will make the option prompt up? It was basically (very much paraphrasing since I was impatient and just wanted to play lol) like "No data for Extend found, would you like to make a new one?" and "you can transfer your CS save would you like to" afterwards or something like that.

We got the "No date for Extend found..." message, and after saying yes and signing into PSN it made the save. But it never asked for transfer afterwards. Weird.

Alpha152 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 To re-load your previous data from CS you have to delete your current save then when you start the game up and it ask to select a storage device, the transfer option becomes available.
XDest Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) It keeps saying that it was unable to find my CS save data to load. Ugh. Edit: Weird, it saw it from a USB stick. Edited February 17, 2012 by XDest
Kyosuke Kagami Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 So, transferring your story shit means lol free story trophies?
iyse Posted February 18, 2012 Author Posted February 18, 2012 Gah, guess I'm playing through the story again.
Kyosuke Kagami Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I'd better not. Enjoyed it but I don't feel like going through all that anymore. Except mah waifus Makoto's and Platina's stories
Jam-Kiske Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 It gave me the option to transfer story right away too. I had to fiddle with the terrible Internet here, but it does work. It should be right when you put the game in for the first time. As was stated it's simply three options: yes I want a new save file, no I don't want a new save file, and transfer my regular CS data. Just story mode as was stated. I want all my nice colors back but nope D:
Amadeus46Art Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 All DLC is now unlocked in the gallery, play versus, abyss, or score attack mode I believe to earn Platinum Dollars and you can buy all the voice sets and character colors.
Siefer Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Ugh, that's annoying. I don't recall ever getting the option to transfer files and I had to do it all over again. Well, it doesn't matter, I'm caught up now.
Orihalcon Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 So, transferring your story shit means lol free story trophies? Nope.
DJ Koopa Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Yeah, it wouldn't work from my HD either. I had to copy my CS save data over to Cloud Storage, then use Cloud to save my game so it'd pick up my Story data, then I had to back out and move my CS:EX data from Cloud Storage to my HD again. What a hassle...
Saltynapalm Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Is it possible for it to recognize how far I've reached in story mode based on my already acquired trophies? I've lost my data on both games but the trophies are still intact. I don't mind playing through the whole story again since I love VN's, but maybe there's something extra you can obtain similar to the shaded colors in SSF4 if you had standard?
