Blazblue Calamity Trigger is on Steam.
DJ Koopa replied to BlackYakuzu94's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
And as far as fighting games go, pretty much exclusively Playstation. Fuck Sony. I bought a 360 just for these games and then they went and dropped 360, so if they want to lose sales then that's on them. Deciding to drop 40% of your international sales is reason enough to question their platform choices. -
As necro as this might be, I'm still looking for this OST. http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B0026K9IKK?tag=cv01-22 http://vgmdb.net/album/28098 Can't...find...an import option....hnnn

Dunno if this was shown or not, but... Juubi! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7395270/ And the artist made shirts out of it and sold a few, promo'd with another pic. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7392538/ ....And yes, they're both SFW.

Yay...streaming while I had no internet because I was moving to my new house... Fun.

In the corner, with NO magnetism. FC2C > (j.2C > 5B)x4 > 5C > ASledge> Followup > j.2C > 2B > 2C > AC > j.C whiff > j.2C > 5B > 5C > SB > 6C > j.2C > 3C > GF - 4362dmg, 100+ heat gain. Also, magnetized 150heat combo from mid screen 2C > MTW > 3C > AC whiff > j.2C > 2B > 5B > 2C > AC > GF whiff > 6C > j.2C > 5B > SB > 6C > MTW > TB > GF - 7311dmg, gains 55 heat over the course of the combo. Yeah, that's my default reflex on backgrab, the 6B AC. Just like I autopilot forward grabs with Bsledge > 5C > 6A > AC because...well, I haven't really looked into what might be more optimal for either grab starters. <_<

Dunno if it's been shown around before, but... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SpFpktJxCA&t=10m12s Um...this kinda gave me a nerd boner. Also made me rage a bit over how I still can't cancel AC or GF into 6C properly

So....highest levels on auto-heal, blood sucker, and your character-specific powerup for ez wins. Mmkay.

Yeah, it wouldn't work from my HD either. I had to copy my CS save data over to Cloud Storage, then use Cloud to save my game so it'd pick up my Story data, then I had to back out and move my CS:EX data from Cloud Storage to my HD again. What a hassle...

I am so ready for Extend. *waits for the mailman by the door with a cup of hot chocolate*

Y'know, I've been looking to actually purchase the OST, but...well, I can't friggin' read Japanese. Anyone wanna help me out ordering this?

Guilty Gear FAQ Thread - Ask your questions here!
DJ Koopa replied to Kairi's topic in Guilty Gear General
I've been trying to look it up, what kind of sword does Johnny use exactly? Only one site I found had anything besides "sword" and it said it's a "katana"...but it sure as hell doesn't look like one. While katanas are generally generic like tachi, Johnny's sword is pretty friggin' straight, not to mention it seems kind of short to be one. -

The stream is up, by the way.

I asked to commentate for a good 45 minutes and I went ignored.

My comfortable (to the)corner combo is usually like ...5B > 5C > Mami Circular(Rapid) > 66 5C > 2C > 214C > sj.C > j.C...ender. Enders usually being either a fail attempt at the Hammer Loop (I still don't know how to get lv3 on the second launch), a falling j.Pan > j.C > j.Pan for oki, a single Bat/Cat Hammer/Missile for the other three, and if I have the bomb then 236Axx. I don't really know what's safe as far as other things go, I've watched some go 214x 22C and then some...other stuff I can't remember, but I get lost when it comes to not mashing the bubble. The timing is so strange for that. As for the 5A mashing, it's either for cheap blockstring to try and get them corner-bound, or I mix it up with random command grab when they're too set on blocking. Either way, a visual Hammer Loop tutorial might help a bit. I'm still none too comfortable with freestyling as Plat like I am Tager.

I hate the fact that Platinum practically never talks in English (unlike in Jap where Plat is the one who calls out every special) instead of Luna or Sera, but I still like to understand what the hell is being said if only for hype during the match. "Not too shabby, huh?" Yeah, I kinda figured that out rather quickly. Especially considering I main Tager. :|
-
Well, ran into that trash-talking ragequitting Litchi with the fake PSR again. He sent me more hatemail about how shitty Tager is and that "real players don't grab" and shit. More like his reflexes are too poor to escape a purple grab. :| Litchi vs. I've done double rapids before....though it's mostly to really bring the pressure and snap those primers while keeping them magnetized. Got the 9-primer eating combo in tact. 10 if I use sparkbolt. Mindgames ftw.
-
Alright, since nobody bothered to respond in over a week...perhaps something fresher against a more skilled opponent might pry some kind of input. Tager vs.
-
...I wish that U.Tager was normal Tager just without the 18k health. Then he wouldn't be shit tier. :x

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-JZ7kygEHA&t=3m12s Uh, what? What......what? Seriously, the hell?

Alright, I've finally managed to get an EzCap and got it working and everything. Even still, I apologize for the sub-par quality, as I'm still not sure how to optimize the output. Now, keep in mind that the only knowledge of how Platinum plays is through Challenge mode and watching others play Plat, so...I'm kinda running off the cuff as far as BnBs and the hammer loop goes right now, that and I main Tager who plays so much differently than the characters that can double jump and dash...either way, help out my game! And yeah, they got progressively better as they went along. You'll see me do more and newer stuff through each match. :x vs. Hakumen 1 vs. Λ-11 vs. Taokaka (Achievement unlocked: For Whom the Bell Tolls) vs. Hazama vs. Hakumen 2 Jin vs. vs. Jin vs. Λ-11 2 vs. Litchi

Actually, its abbreviation is "GoF2" despite being named Gleam of Force. So, yeah, it's an engine sequel to Glove on Fight in the way that BlazBlue could be considered a sequel series to Guilty Gear. By the way, I'm so pro Makoto~ Much better than SF and the squirrel bitch we know. :|

Well, I technically have the OST, but because it's cut and repeatable, it's split up into the few-second intros and then the looping points. I don't remember where I got it from, but I did manage to upload it to box.net for people to download. http://www.box.net/shared/tezutukglh2tnkunhtui The CD itself is this. http://www.animate-onlineshop.jp/products/detail.php?product_id=58457

Okay, I've found a place to download the game. http://www.mediafire.com/?6by7ban4hg75r Sadly, this is the only way to get it...since buying it online has no digital version, and they don't ship overseas. :/

I just came back from Anthrocon, and in the Zoo there was this projector in the corner and a shitload of people huddled around it, watching people play on this laptop. The PC-only game was called Gleam of Force, a doujin fighter French-Bread game (makers of Melty Blood), and it was...quite intriguing. All female cast (including Katsuko Hosokawa, no matter how manly and pimping her old ass looks) Three buttons. A, B, and C. A is light attacks, B is Heavy, and C is guard. A+B does supers with direction, and you can parry and counter with 2C for low or 8C for high. There's no jumping (except for like 2 characters), no crouching, and no grabs (excluding like 3 characters that have command grabs). Despite only having 2 attack buttons, the fact that there's no jumping means that each button holds potentially 9 attacks, up to 18 normal per character. Aside from specials which have inputs, supers are a direction and A+B. Despite sounding so simple, the mechanics behind it are much more than that. Also, despite each character's differences, there are three modes to gameplay. In-Fighter, Out-Boxer, and Old Style. Infighter 1.33x damage while in infight, as well as received damage halved Super meter gain when next to the opponent 33% less endurance gauge loss Strong attacks can be put out with guard cancel Outboxer 2x speed when evading When you land a counter hit the damage is increased 1.5x Advancement and retreat speed improves (forward dash not included) Can cancel into backstep from guard Old style For those who prefer the way it was before You will still receive a speed boost during infight -- Official site: http://www13.plala.or.jp/french/gof2.htm Wiki: http://gof2club.wikidot.com/ System/Engine data: http://gof2club.wikidot.com/game:system Gameplay example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YAi--JFBog Combo video part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQ5qVfvEZoU Combo video part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3z_b3AaDM8 Combo video part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJVIfbpJay0 So far, I can't find any reliable source to download this Japanese-only game..hopefully I (or someone else) can find it and share specifics.
