Heyy guys, long story short, I've been having some major health issues and used to play BB almost everyday before they arose. That was waaaayyyyy back in CT. So far, I don't have a tv...and can't play it. I'm literally staring @ the box right now...so close...but yet so damn far. The closest I can get to it is playing the "kael" (spell backwards) on my computer...which fortunately runs @ 60fps, but it's only arcade mode and obviously a lot of combos, hit states, and such have changed. I'm trying not to learn bad habits from constantly playing CS-specific combos and perform ones I've seen work in BBCS:EX - though they're not many.

Anyways, it'll be my birthday soon. May 10th is the day and I want...no NEED a good tv to play blazblue on. Not a monitor. But a tv. Preferably 1080p, wifi (even though ps3 has it), & 32 inches. That's what I've been thinking about, however as much as I know about computers and alternative tech, idk ANYTHING about tvs. Googling this crap has given me a headache & i decided who better to ask than the people who've already taken care of it?

1) When tv do you specifically use when playing BB? What are your opinions...?

2) What are the good brands to look out for? Which brands suck?

3) Also, where did you buy it from? Or where would you recommend buying it from online?

4) Plasma, LCD, or LED?

Anyways, I really wanna get back to BB so I can get my litchi, Mu-12, & lambda right. Pwetty pwease help meeeeeeee. Thanks guys :D

The television I personally use is LG's 32LH40. I haven't noticed much in the way of latency in my own experience (in game mode with as many settings turned off as possible.) If memory serves, Samsung is one of the worst offenders for latency unless you're sure about which brands have good reputations for gaming. Furthermore, plasmas tend to have worse response time.

I don't recommend that you buy a display over the Internet. Many electronics stores will let you connect your own devices to TVs to test them. If they let you, use a game that you are very familiar with and is timing sensitive (parrying attacks in third strike comes to mind.) Also, don't neglect the picture quality because if you bind a 32 inch television you are going to use it for something other than gaming occasionally.

Dustloop isn't the best place to ask for tech advice. Shoryuken has a board dedicated to problems like yours that has a very long thread about modern televisions and input latency.
