So this game came to PSN not too long ago (under the Japanese PS one classics section). It came out back in the days of old, but never made it stateside. I tried it out with some friends and was pretty shocked at how fun and fast paced it was. I'm surprised this game never made it outside of japan. It's well polished, and has almost as much content as most capcom games of that era. It has a better storymode than MvC3 and better gameplay/less glitches than SFxT. Plus you unlock characters rather than buy them. If this isn't enough reason for this great game to have its own section then you havent played it yet. There are so many ways to play each character due to the flying abilities/tactics. There are moves that arent in the movelist that we've been figuring out, great setups with certain characters, and all around fun and competitive gameplay (as long as you exclude some of the unlockable characters). Even so, the roster seems balanced because: even if you think a character sucks, the computer will school you with that exact character, and teach you a few tricks along the way.

THIS IS! SAMURAI SHOWDOWN WITH ROBOTS!

THIS IS! STREETFIGHTER WITH JETPACKS!

THIS IS! A GAME WITH BABES, STUDS, THREE HEADED GODS, AND CAVE PEOPLE!

YOU WANT BURSTS!? this games got them. YOU WANT FULL FLIGHT MODE!? every character has it. WANNA TEAR YOUR OPPONENTS ARMS OFF!? THEN DO IT!

Cyberbots Revolution 2012!: LET'S GO TO EVO CAMPAIGN! EPISODE 1! *_*!!!!

Pro's:

-Cheap price

-12 characters + 5 unlockable characters

-Customizable character movesets (havent figured out how to do this yet)

-Fun/Intense combat system

-Probably the first game to have bursts (unless a game before GG had them)

-Menu's in English

-Jin Satome (MvC2) is in the game

-Giant Robo-Akuma with huge streetfighter feet

Con's:

-Everything else is in japanese

-The storyline seems cool but i can't understand it.

-Can't figure out anything the manual says, but there seems to be more complex attacks.

-No online modes

-No training mode

-long loading times

WARNING: this game is made by capcom and i strongly discourage giving them money, but this game is well worth the price. Plus it was made during the good old days when games where completed before sold. Join the CB Revolution or be left in the dust. Can you do any less !?

[[GAME BASICS]]

BOOST- This button kicks in the turbo when moving. Use it in

conjunction with the direction pad to execute dashes and flight.

Pressing an A button while dashing will make the VA launch a dash

attack. Beware, you can't use this move if the Boost Gauge (below the

Life Gauge, at the left for 1P and right for 2P) overheats.

WEAPON-This button serves as the trigger for using the VA's weapon

such as self-propelled bits. Just like Boost, you can't use your

weapon move if the Weapon Gauge (above the Life Gauge, at the left for

1P and right for 2P) overheats.

ARM RIPPER- F,FD,D+A When close to you opponent your VA will try to rip

an arm off the opponent.

BOOST EVASION- When your VA is sent flying by an enemy attack, pressing

the B button at a certain point before impact will allow your VA to

make an evasive maneuver to avoid going down and taking a follow-up

hit.

POWER CHARGE- Your VA will charge energy every time it attacks or

whenever you press A1+A2 buttons at the same time. When the Energy

Gauge (at the bottom left of the screen for 1P and bottom right for

2P) is fully charged, the VA's body glows and its attacking power is

increased. Also, when the Energy gauge is fully charged, you can

launch a Cyber EX super power move D,DF,F,D,DF,F+A or Giga Crash

(press A1 and A2 buttons simultaneously), an emergency evasion move.

Leg Type: none

Arm Type: none

Weapon Type: Small Missile Launcher

Special Tecniques:

Red Omega: 41236 + ax

Hell Delta 1: 41236 + w

Hell Delta 2: 236 + w

Hell Delta 3: 6236 + w

Devil X: 2,8 + a1

Final O: 2,8 + a2

Super Gamma: 2,8 + w

Octopus Jr.: 6236 +ax

Deathsaturn Sigma (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax

The Super-8 is an octopus-like VA specialized in long-range attacks; I'm not

sure about this, but its main pilot is a baby princess (or something similar)

called Devilot (I remember that this character was also in Super Puzzle Fighter

2). The best way to defeat the Super-8 is to charge the power meter and then

close with the VA when it jumps to release mines and hammer it with fast

punches. If your VA is equipped with a Large Missile Launcher, you can try to

continually fire the missiles, but it is not good as closing with the octopus.

It is a special VA, with arms and legs represented by the eight tentacles; the

weapon is a small missile launcher which fires 4 missiles. (v 2.0 addition: in

Armored Warriors/Powered Gear is the second boss, and it is a lot easier to

defeat)

-----------------

--P-10033 GAITS--

-----------------

Leg Type: Walker

Arm Type: Power Fist

Weapon Type: Very large Missile Launcher

Special Tecniques:

Ikkitousen: 236 + ax (in mid-air)

Mondoumuyou: 6236 + ax

Shogyoumujyou 1: charge 4,6 + ax

Shogyoumujyou 1: charge 4,6 4 + ax

Ichimoudajin: 214 + ax (when close)

Kuuzenzetsugo (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax

Small, but fast and with powerful attacks. The Gaits fires 4 salvos of four

missiles each in a striaght trajectory toward the top of the stage as weapon.

Ideal for anti-air tactics. The best way to deal with this VA is to close range

quickly and deliver few, strong moves. Though when controlled by the CPS-2 the

Gaits may be a little easy to defeat, a skilled player should be able to turn

this VA into a real killer machine. (v 2.0 addition: well, maybe not, as it is

the easiest of the four "bosses" to defeat. BTW, it's the basic enemy in

Armored Warriors/Powered Gear...)

--UVA-02 HELION--

Leg Type: Walker

Arm Type: Power Fist

Weapon Type: none

Special Tecniques:

Flugel Bogen: 63214 + ax

Gott Kugel: 236 + ax

Himmel Fangel: 214 + ax

Schlachtfeld Kaval (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax

A VA capable of switching between VA and helicopter mode. Good at any range,

with a predilection of close-range. Very fast and with normal and special

moves, though most are ranged. The light attack is a sword-like attack while

the strong is a large laser cannon. The Helion has no weapon but you cannot rip

off its arms. The best way to attack the Helion is to use a good mix of close

and long range tactics and use an hit-and-run style tactic.

Leg Type: Walker

Arm Type: Power Fist

Weapon Type: Vulcan Cannon

Special Tecniques:

Sacred Stare: 236 + ax

Ascension Black: 236 + w

Sacred Stare Grab: 6236 + ax

Energy Drain: full 360° + ax

Forbidden Force: charge 4,6, ax (in mid air)

***Imitation Alpha: 44 a2 66, a2

***Imitation Beta: 6, a1, a2, a1, 4

Final Sacrifice (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax

Possibly the best VA in the game. With an X-0 you should be able to destroy

Guldin-type VAs only with your Vulcan Cannon: this weapon fires two salvos of

five projectiles each and recharges very quickly.

The a1 button is used to swing arms while the second to use legs. The tactic to

destroy an X-0 is the same used with the Super-8: close quickly and use fast

attacks. You can try to engage at long range as this VA is not as powerful as

the Super-8 at these ranges; be always careful, however.

The Movelist info was taken from Gamefaqs.

*** me and my friend tried both these moves and they don't seem to be legit.

ZeroGouki/Robo-Akuma (these are not the actual move names because we figured them out ourselves)

Haduken- 236 Attack (Also air)

DaTexasGurkin!- 214 Attack

Kamehameha- 63214 Attack

Tripple Dragon punch (Super)- 236236 Attack

I've been meaning to play this, considering the hype surrounding Jin's Blodia.

Is it anything like Gundam Battle Assault?

Posted

I never played GBA. It has 4 buttons.

weak attack

strong attack

weapon

boost

The first two are self explanitory. "Weapon" is different for every character and MAY able to be changed. I read you can do this, but i havent figured out how to do it yet. Boost lets you dash and go into flight mode when used in the air. The length of flight varies for each character. You can use it to make faux double jumps, jump-ins, and cross ups in certain cases.

Also, if you hold both attack buttons down, you gain metter. You can use the meter for supers or to burst.
