I do not think this matchup is in our favor @ all 5.5-4.5 Plats favor in my opinion, maybe even 6-4 cause she basically treats us like tager with her troll face on max screaming "Ur never gonna catch me" (Family Guy reference) She can control alot of space with her jc & D attacks. Also depending on her Item it changest the game plan, the easiest to get in on would be hammer or pan. But on to the matchup. She has very good pokes & a excelent mixup game accompanied by better then normal corner carry from almost any attack. To put the icing on the cake is she decides to run she rivals Mu-12 in zonning capability. So lets worry first about her mixup. She has a instant OH -_-" one that gives 2k mid screen & corner carry & ~4k in the corner 0heat. Her instant OH can be done with Ja or jb, while jb she needs to be higher & its slower naturally it can still catch u so stay focused thats a 22f OH that gives 3k mid screen & ~5k in the corner while ja gives less dmg it can be done instantly & still give decent dmg. Making it very dangerous to our health. TBH in order to stop it u must result to yomi mashing. Similar to litchis staff place/deploy pressure. While plat is on the defensive end she is somewhat protected by her extra small hitbox making IAD allecan a bit tighter to hit, other then that if she doesnt have Bat its easy pickings. At neutral Plat poses a bit of challenge to catch, her Jc work exactly like Mu along with her 2C & AA all lead to serious dmg from easy hitconfirms. Her item Bat, missiles, bombs, & kitty hammer all make approching her very very difficult the bombs can be handle with vivace however this is not advised since after she rhrows them out she can basically come in for free since there off screen & u have to guess were they will land. They could land behind U & due to it being active pretty long means it forms a bit of a brick wall forcing us to block or move forward.If we are hit she gets free pressure, & if u do vivace its probably gonna cost u alot. With the missiles its just that she most definitely will get in if Ada isnt in front of u. The kitty hammer shuts ada down while controlling space since it adds active frames once the move hits ada making it more of a 'were the fuck u think u going' type of attack & its extremely safe & lastly u have her Bat...... its a dp deal with it. This matchup can be extremely easy if Plat decides to RTSD for the win, due to her OP mixup game ppl tend to go in kinda hard as uv probably seen from the vids however that will get her kille. The problem here is catching her is hard and Brio dosnt work very well against her jump, somehow brio tend to whiff on her. Plat lockdown is somewhat of annoying, the reasong of this is that her overhead is +1 and her 5A is -1. So, one should be patient when Plat pressure you. Your best option in this situation are backdash, vivanve or gear super, usually when plat try to do her overhead it will leave a gap for escaping with any of the moves mentioned before. It isn't safe trying to beat her Air to Air or Air to ground, hers normal's will beat easily ours in that situations, maybe sometimes j.A can work... but try to stay on the ground. Try to use Volante + Brio and Alledashing for controlling her at neutral. Remember that her only way to get out is with the Bat item and his distortion move. Keep in mind that the UB j.B+3]D[ is DP safe, so use against her even if she have the Bat, always try to make her waste that item because that one can give plenty problems. Once you get her in CoN, just go and take the dmg, that char is hard to catch, but when you do it, you can win with just a couple reset.

If she is easy to catch then please by all means enlighten me on how to do it. Cause alot of our stuff is virtually useless against her weapons. The bombs can by past Ada, the hammer shuts ada up & like u said going Air to Air or even Air to ground will never end well for us. With all these negatives how can this matchup be in our favor & we gotta do our shitty version of the loop on her because she so small. Mu is a different match-up for the reason that she can stop and chip nirvana with her laser. Plat is just annoying to catch, but there is no way that she is harder to catch than Taokaka or Arakune. From what i know, Carl only have 3 bad matchup: Hakumen, Taokaka and Mu. Maybe Mu isn't so bad as the other two. I think that your problem is how you see the loop against her, is true that you can´t do the UB loop. But with only one UB + 5K or 6K dmg will be enough to kill her if not, do another rep of the universal UB with a rapid cancel. Her weapons aren´t so great, the only one that are a pain in the ass is the Bat and the hammer for the overhead mixup. Against that match is just better stay on ground, use Nirvana to move and try to not play ´´catch the mouse``. Just try to attack when you really think that you can bring her down or pin her for lockdown. Also, if you manage to pressure her and she don't have the bat, spam UB ryuseei style, even the 6B+2]D[. When i find the match between ryuseei vs plat i will post it here.

Plat has all the tools, the range, the hitbox's & the bullshit character hitbox. Even if u catch her it is not a guarantee that u will be able to set up the UB on her @ all times. This isnt CS2 Carl were that was possible. For plat u need either 50heat or to get a hit in CON. Now i save my heat for CA majority of the time so its either CON position or nothing. An even then 6B 2D isnt hard to avoid. The input for this UB (If u want it to truly be UB) is 5a>(2D)2B>(Pause)5B>6B the pause most people dont notice, but u can jump & this point & take the air hit 5B tech & 2D & 6B will whiff & u(Carl) are now on the defensive end of the match. An if ur a Dp character just mash Dp =/ So im not seeing how this matchup is in our favor. She has mixup that can rival rachel, Pokes/hitboxes that could put ragna to shame, & either annoying ass projectiles or a Dp -_- I can understand if u didnt think the matchup wasnt in Plats favor, but saying its in ours i do believe thats an understatement of plats skill. After this evaluation. Id put it at 5-5 Plat hits hard & can kill us provided she has the proper weapon, & we can kill her just as easily provided we have enough Ada meter & Heat
