AchedSphinx Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Kind of strange but I don't get hate-mail too often when I fight Elizabeth. It's really rare that I lose to her, and the ones that I do defeat keep challenging me, gotta admire the Elizabeth determination. I can see Elizabeth being OP against casual's and newer players though. I've played against some really good Elizabeth's though and they're pretty scary. I feel bad every time I win against them because I hardly believe I deserve it lol.
Elochai Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Elizabeth touch of death shenanigans: 214CD FC > 236236C > 5B > 2AB > d.garu [9~3] > 2A > 5B > 5C (2) > 2C > 214B > 2C > 236AB > 2AB OMB > Mahamon activates. Trying to find some alternative way to end the combo since I don't wanna give up dat burst.

Elochai Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 You're right. Good shit Synthesis. The combo can now be rendered as 214D FC > 236236C > 2B > j.B > d.garu [2] > 2AB > d.garu [9~3] > 2A > 5B > 5C > 2C > 214B > 2C > 236AB > Mahamon activation.
Synthesis Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I don't know if anyone has realized this, but you can airdash after 2B j.B. Could be useful for mixups. Also, SMP loops: 2C FC > B.Bufu j.B 236C OMB 236B 5B 2AB D.Garu 2A 5C SB.Zio 2B j.B D.Garu (everything after this point is theory) 5A 5C SB.Zio 5C 2C Mind Charge 5C SB.Zio 5C SB.Zio
Runyst Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Just wait until you can do some of these combos and then they'll really start raging aeternum. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tOpoGXCVTk whoa that vid is 3 months old what man these combos would cause some serious rage one touch kills if you had the sp
AeternumSomnium Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 It's not starting them that's too hard--I've been able to start a few online fairly easily It's finishing them properly that really blows, I botch it almost every time. If you were never super good at Garu loops (Which I certainly never was)they get really shifty.

AeternumSomnium Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Yeah I got to get on board with those, Garu loops are too cool not to do--and I've gotten bored with my default combos lol
Runyst Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Garu loops just look so classy Hey look it's an Elizabeth carrying the enemy to the corner and dealing tons of damage all while riding a tornado like it's perfectly normal. are the 2B j.B Garu loops easier or do they just look easier

It's super easy since it's only [2], unless the garu is not the part that you're messing up.

Elochai Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 (edited) So, how's about those optimal 5AB combos? I've seen someone do 5AB~C > sb.Garu [something] > d.garu [something] > stuff. Anyone know about this? Edit: so here's that instant kill combo I talked about earlier. Edited December 8, 2012 by Elochai
Runyst Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 So, how's about those optimal 5AB combos? I've seen someone do 5AB~C > sb.Garu [something] > d.garu [something] > stuff. Anyone know about this? Edit: so here's that instant kill combo I talked about earlier. Looks hard to use in an actual match. Requires the enemy to have no burst and for them to get hit by SB agi. Would be pretty boss to pull off though
Elochai Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Yeah, it's one of those style over practicality combos. I doubt I'll ever use it in a real match, but it's nice to have I suppose.
Synthesis Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Looks hard to use in an actual match. Requires the enemy to have no burst and for them to get hit by SB agi. Would be pretty boss to pull off though Actually, it looks entirely practical, just situational. 75 meter for an instant kill off SB.Agi? It's not bad to know.
TD Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 it can't be any sb. agi. the foe must be hit between the first and second pillars going either way. the times that the foe will be hit by sb.agi in this manner are times where it is most easy for them to evade the flames. sb.agi is slow enough for a foe to see coming often enough and punish. l would say most mixups involving sb.agi getting blocked are gimmicky at best.
godofwar7 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 You can instead go with 5B OMB SB Agi Mahaomon ~ combo. they cannot break out of it unless they have a burst or you drop it, instead of them simply ignoring your agi, which most skilled players are able to do. Downside is you use your burst, but youre going for style here so yeah. theres a video of it somewhere on youtube, can't find it now though.
Elochai Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 I was messing around with 5B OMB, and I couldn't get Agi to combo after. Seems that they're too low to allow Agi to be cast.
godofwar7 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 5B must return almost all the way back, and ofc SB agi must be cast immediately after OMB. I've done it before so I know it works. But yeah timing is pretty strict. oh and i think you have to be pretty close to them before you 5B as well, not too sure about that. Like right in there face.
godofwar7 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Sure, I'll try it out after the giants game finishes. would be better to just link you the video from youtube but i can't find it anymore...
godofwar7 Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 (edited) Finally did the damn Mahaomon OMB combo in training mode guys. Here's the link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5ayj6ilfoY My notes. 1. I did not come up with this combo, I saw it on youtube, but I can no longer find it. So as to help other Liz mains learn this tech, I am uploading this. 2. I did Mahaomon way late, but it still works. You can use it a earlier than I did. 3. I did not do the optimal Garu loop for this combo, which would be SB Garu[8~2] D Garu[2]. I only did D Garu[2] to make it easier on myself since I'm still not comfortable with Garu loops, and this already a doozy of a combo to get off in one shot. 4. Because I used only D Garu[2], I was forced to use Sweep ~ A Bufu as a combo ender to finish. 5. This combo ender will work if the opponent a.chooses not to tech b.neutral techs c.techs upward However it will not work if they choose to tech forward or backward. 6. If you do the optimal Garu loop instead of the Garu shown in the vid, you will not need to use the Sweep A Bufu combo ender, since the combo will be extended long enough for your opponent to fall into Mahaomon after SB Agi. Thus making the combo perfect unless your opponent uses his burst.(This is a guess, since I have not actually tested the optimal combo) 7. The notation for the combo are as follows Combo in vid. 5B OMB SB.Agi Mahaomon 5B Sweep D.Garu[2] 2A 5B 5C(2) 2C B.Bufu SB.Agi Sweep A.Bufu [100 SP][K.O.] 5B OMB 214CD 236236C 5B 2AB 236D[2] 2A 5B 5C(2) 2C 214B 214CD 2AB 214A [100 SP][K.O.] Optimal combo. 5B OMB SB.Agi Mahaomon 5B Sweep SB.Garu[8~2] D.Garu[2] 2A 5B 5C(2) 2C B.Bufu SB.Agi[125 SP][K.O.] 5B OMB 214CD 236236CD 5B 2AB 236CD[8~2] 236D[2] 2A 5B 5C(2) 2C 214B 214CD[125 SP][K.O.] 8. It is important to note that to catch the opponent falling from OMB, You must use SB.Agi quickly. If Thanatos is not a few inches off the ground when he used SB Agi, then you did it wrong. This is only an assumption, but after OMB, you must let liz land first before trying to do SB.Agi(since you can't start it while airborne?) so wait for the tiniest of delays before going into it. Now someone else go test the optimal combo Edited December 10, 2012 by godofwar7
Elochai Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 So it's a burst + 125SP for a KO off of a practical starter? That seems alright. It's more optimal than my combo, at any rate. I'll test it tomorrow and see. Sb.Agi isn't an aerial move btw, so Liz needs to hit the ground, but maybe Thanatos is still in the air from the OMB? Garu elevator isn't too bad btw. I usually omit the [~2] and just go for [9].
