Min7yFr3sh Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 FFA next double header for the weekend featuring AE2012/SFxT on Saturday and BBCSex/P4U on Sunday (Airdashers)! The official start time will be at 3 pm and the entry fee is $8. If you pay the house fee once (which is $3), you will not have to pay it again if you decide to enter multiple games. There will be no stream this coming Saturday because The Mix-Up will be at David Kong Sessions in Culver City. However, the tournament for Saturday will still commence, so we hope to see a good turnout! Persona 4 Ultimate Arena (PS3) -This is a Double-Elimination tournament, best 2 of 3 matches per game. If you lost your first game, YOU ARE STILL IN. -Matches are 2/3 rounds, 99 Timer. -Winning player must keep the same character within the same game. Opponent may counter-pick. -Double-blind character selection available upon request for the first match per game. -Glitches are allowed if they do not crash (soft-crash or hard-crash) the game. -Sudden Death: In the event of a tie, BOTH players will take a loss. If it comes down to the final match for both players, then a Sudden Death blind-pick single game will determine the outcome. -Controller Failure: If you suspect your controller of malfunctioning, immediately raise your hands to halt the match. You may not retroactively call control failure after a round or match has finished. This will be penalized as a Forfeiture if abused to gain an advantage in a match. -DQ/Forfeiture: If you cause interference during a match (due to pausing or physical distraction), you are subject to forfeiture of the round (Exception: We might overlook this if done in the middle of a static super animation). If it is deemed intentional, you may be subject to a two-round forfeiture or outright disqualification. -Cover-My-Ass-Clause: In case of a dispute that is covered by this ruleset, final decision will be made by a judge. In the case of an event not covered by this ruleset, all decisions made by judges are final. BlazBlue CS Extend (Arcade) -This is a Double-Elimination tournament, best 2 of 3 matches per game. Jason D. Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Uh... just to warn you guys, Super Arcade had already announced a huge P4A tournament on Sunday. So this one might end up with a very sad turnout. And I'm pretty sure that practically all BB players have also picked up P4A. Also, I don't think you can do a CS Extend tourney on the arcade cabinet at FFA. Last I checked they only had CS1 in that machine, so you'll need a console version. Unless they did get a CSEX cab at some point. (which would make it the only one in SoCal.) In which case: holy shit!
Min7yFr3sh Posted August 11, 2012 Author Posted August 11, 2012 Yeah, I know man. After I saw that announcement I already knew that we are either going to have a low turnout or no turn out at all. But for sure we will host more P4U on a more regular basis since BBCS is dead for now... but will see what's up Sunday. Thanks Jason!
