The Katz Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Anyone have issues with wired controllers not reading diagonals for analog? Seems to be x360 version exclusive issue.
9TNine Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Real minor one, but Testament's air dash momentarily has a huge corruption line behind him. Interestingly enough, despite using the same sprite this doesn't happen when backdashing on the ground. PS3 version, didn't check aspect ratios or PS2 version. -9
SHINIGAMI_mkl Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 My PS3 always hangs on Order-Sol's and ABA's Slash stages (they are seperate than #R ones) after or during the first round. It's kinda weird, but Guilty Gear sometimes deliberately has it's own naming conventions. Pretty sure normally you'd pronounce "storm" as ストルム (sutorumu). Instead it's "shtorm" or シュトルム (shutorumu). (Sol's American, why would he be using German words?) If it were "strum" it would probably be something like ツルム (tsurumu). Ironically, the way Daisuke pronounces it sounds like the latter more than the former. ...Whatever. It's not that big a deal, just like most of the movelists that were never translated (except mostly by me and a slew of other diehards). Long story short, I've never heard of a "Gan Frame" I think It would be spelled "ストラム" (sutoramu; because thats how it sounds) if they wanted a "Strum"
Jais Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Anji's boxes seem off... E.g. Chipp v Anji. 1 Chipp performs a throw 2 Chipp runs 3. Witness Chipp corpse hop Anji (This was not possible on arcade ) Chipp backed into the corner, Chipp throws Anji, watch Chipp's sprite flip on recovery (This is not happening on arcade or PS2 version ) Uncomfirmed: Anji full running speed into Bridget/Anji, belly to belly Opponent 5Ps 5P whiffs Anji entirely
Jackhound Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 It froze 2 times during vs 2P mode. First at Baiken's 2626S startup and then after Order-Sol's gold burst. The only way to fix it was to turn off ps3 via power button (switched off after 3 beeps). PS3 is a new super slim version. Didin't have any freezing issues in other games.

Notwhoyouthink Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Chipp has always had a different throw vs anji, jam, and dizzy ever since the very first one. So anythign that you might think might be buggy probably isnt as you can do a lot of misc/cross up wacky stuff off them pretty easily... Only legit bug I recall with chipp is in slash if chipp has been played and a throw was landed, the game will make moves have longer recovery after it when you fall. So when you then play wuith other characters you can do combos not normally possible like i did here.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L61jp9_h1No At least I think thats how I did it.. Its been so long.
Jackie Chandler Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Anyone have issues with wired controllers not reading diagonals for analog? Seems to be x360 version exclusive issue. Yes. Yes yes yes yes yes. It's the reason I absolutely can't stand playing this game on 360. I use pad instead of stick, and I can rarely manage special/super inputs because of how often diagonals arbitrarily don't register. Interestingly enough, the PS3 version reads my 360 controller inputs perfectly when I'm using a converter, though. I've been meaning to e-mail Arc System Works about this for some time, but considering the fact that they don't have a customer support branch stateside, I don't know if I'd be able to send them the message in English or if I'd have to translate it to Japanese, haha.
Rabbit360 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Is anybody's training dummy trapped forever in a counterhit state? I can't seem to fix it. Am i missing some obvious menu item? Counter state is off for both dummy and player. This was a problem for me a while back and now that +R is out, it is once again a problem. JP version on PS3.
Rabbit360 Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 It was some obvious menu item. I had the guard guage cranked to max.

You have your game freezing on you? Mine does it too! My PS3 is a fat one. It only happens to my PS3 and none of my friends. Only happens in Guilty Gear. I've managed to record and upload it on my channel along with another thing that happened while in training mode. My game freezes while playing Vs mode or training mode. Here's the video of it freezing, 1st half is another crazy thing that happened to me. 2nd half is the freezing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awlXSnYiTUQ
werewolfgold Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Something that I would possibly try is "Rebuilding the Database" while in your PS3's safe mode. You have to hold down the power button until it beeps twice. It worked wonders for some slowdown and wonky audio I was getting after switching my hard drive. I've read that it may help for some freezing and drive read issues as well.
Lynxfort Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Though i have R+ the game frozen in me couple of times especially in slash order sol stage..

N8 DMN Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 With the system off w red standby light, hold the power button until the 3rd beep and it will go back to red. Hold again for the 3rd beep and this time the 3rd beep will be a quick double beep and will get you into safe mode. Option 3 and 4 might help...

Also I might have gotten more info to confirm on what causes the game to freeze. My friends came over yesterday to play +R, and the first stage we played on was OS stage from Slash. (You can unlock it if you beat story mode with OS) Whenever we play on that stage it freezes. So we tried other specific stages and went to Paris Stage from Slash repeatedly and it didn't freeze once. So we went back to OS stage and it froze before we could finish the first round. I'm beginning to think its actually the stage that freezes the game. (Kudos to the guy who commented on my video suggesting that it could be the stage.)
TheRealBobMan Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Yeah, I thought that stage had been mentioned to crash previously in this thread or another one. Also, using different hard drives in PS3s can cause issues if they're not at least 7200RPM. Most people buy whatever has more storage and don't think about that sort of thing, so they wind up with terrible loading issues with some games.
