Well, Miquelet is a weird case, since it's one of those moves on which the frame data seems to contradict the gameplay videos. That, or it's some kind of misunderstanding. For now, I've written that it can be dodged by crouching, but we'll have to wait for the console release to know for sure.

The latest batch of Bullet footage is pretty good. I enjoyed Keita's matches, especially the Rachel ones. Thanks for posting them SoWL. It would be great if Miquelet Capture and the ground version of Snaphance turned out to be unblockable, especially the ground version of Snaphance. Keita was able to get 4.9k off Snaphance with H2 in the Rachel matches.

If Capture was a true command grab her pressure would be so much more menacing. Still dont get exactly how the special works

Ground snaphance is unblockable. I would be surprised if it wasn't unblockable, the move is basically Anji's "On" (623H) but with a kick-ass combo afterwards if you do the follow-up.

Just with the rotation of miquelet and snaphance and afterburner, Bullet is an anti-lame, anti-projectile machine.

Quick correction: that Bullet player that is listed as Tsujikawa is actually 0 (yes, the same one who plays Order-Sol).

My bad, I just saw his profile and thought it was him, even though the video descriptions and the announcer said it was 0.

And then I can't find even a single Tsujikawa match in the thread. Did he only exist in my imagination or something? :psyduck:

Hey SoWL, just a heads up, the link to the Bullet mirror is messed up, it leads to the Tager matches instead.

I've already identified the correct time, when I edit it into the thread it will be the right time.

Also on a side note, after consulting some other mods I will probably be "purging" some of the videos in the thread's initial post to make it easier on the eyes and have only the really "exemplary" videos kept in the first post. Ie stuff from week/month one is probably no longer as relevant and can be discarded. If anyone has strong objections I may be willing to compromise but right now entering the video thread it's not exactly clear where to start in regards to matches, having a bit more selective nature for at least the initial post is probably beneficial.

As long as the N-O and M-Shi stuff stays and the combo videos then I'm good. A lot of the very early play could probably go

That's what Zeth was doing with the Azrael vids, so I'm not surprised about us getting the same treatment. I'd say that any prominent players who have more than one or two games deserve to stay, such as Bloodrayne or Merry.

M Shi is good but he has some really bad habits he needs to get rid of. Since there hasnt been any N O Bullet as of late, the only one ive been watching is M Shi. Was never a fan of any of the other Bullets

what habits are you referring to? I'm asking because I'm so new to BB that I'm being breast fed by youtube videos...so I would like to know what I should be looking for. there are some stuff that's plain fundamentals but I need the BB side of it, more specifically, Bullet fundamentals

In regards to video thread organization, would people prefer the Notable Players to have their own "section" of videos (Further sub-divided by match-up) or is the current organization of just general match-up sufficient?

In other news, the "purge" of a lot of the old content from the video thread is complete. The general goal was to remove "out-dated" data or remove excess video in cases where characters had too many matches (Clutter). I made sure to keep older matches if they were one of the players that people requested have their matches preserved.. Additionally, in some cases videos were not purged due to said character already having limited video archived (Bullet, Izayoi, Relius, etc.). If anyone feels like content was purged unjustly or without due cause let me know and I can restore the content.

How things are now is fine but having a notable section for the notable players will help a lot. The Tsubaki forums has that too. And it would be a lot more convenient than going through several pages for random N-O videos to study with

A notable players section would be very beneficial for people new to Bullet and simplify the whole section in general. Not to mention, the Bullet players are thinning out to M- Shi, Keita, Merry, and Uido (0 needs more videos). And with CP so far off, might as well.

quick question, how good is bullet on the offensive? right now she looks rather underwhelming. pressure looks very short and mixup is... l dunno. awful? or just not so great.

Posted

I wouldn't call it awful, just... fair? She has her share of lows and highs, including 6C and Drive mixups and the command grab, but she doesn't have any ridiculous tools that other offensive characters have. Her pressure also gets better with levels, but she has to get them first, and spending them on blocked Drives means losing combo damage.

I'm writing the offense/defense guide right now, so expect more of my thoughts on the matter there.

it seems to me that her pressure is good because it is easy to stay on top of the enemy, 5c is at least even on block and moves forward and she has some scary chain frametraps after, and her jump cancelling is more scary than other characters it seems. her mixup without heatup isnt fantastic but she has 6a which is an eh overhead, still has trm like everyone else, 6d/2d seems like sort of a 50-50 because they share a lot of animation(but still, can get you dp'd without heat-up to speed things up, and they're unsafe and low reward without drive), and IAD j.d seems like a really legit crossup. also, she can use d as sort of a ~22f feint, and redlock 5d has some invincibility so that may help. with heat-up her pressure is better in damage if you're willing to spend resources and way better on block/speed.

also, her 2a is 6f, so that helps.

Just finished reading the strategy guide. You did a really great job, SoWL. Thanks for writing it up. There's 1 typo though. At the end of the close range part in the neutral section, "Miquelet Capture (623C)" should be "Snaphance Fist (623C)".

Duly noted and fixed, thanks.

Started reading that guide you put together SoWL. It was very insightful, and very well put together along with being easy to understand. The Guide is almost as thorough as the Makoto and Rachel guide's for CSE. I can only imagine it'll only get more improved once CP is released to the consles!

Anyway, great job!
