DerQ Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 We are planning on going to Gore for Canada day's weekend (We're 9 sleeping there atm). This place is a bit closer to Ottawa than Montreal is and we'll be there all weekend if you guys want to come for a day in then out. There's no food nearby and I'd have to check what could offer delivery at the place's location, but we'll manage something If you're interested, let us know

Essay Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Is anyone else here interested in the Canada Day thing in Gore? If I could get enough people to help with gas I think I'd be up for driving. I've got family in the next town over actually, so driving around there is not altogether unfamiliar to me. Only concerns: - Are there enough GG players coming? - Food situation (I've got a bad reaction to nightshades, so pizza and pretty much anything with a red sauce or potato-based is never an option for me) Do they deliver fried chicken out there? I could push for other GG players to come out on the same day as you'd come, but I can't guarantee that ATM sadly enough For the food, the house itself would have trouble accomodating a lot of people to eat there because there's not that many plates and all and since we're like 15 minutes away from restaurants, I'd assume it'd be easier to get delivery. I'm fairly confident there should be a way to deliver chicken from St-Huberts, but I'd have to call over there to make sure they actually can. Otherwise, going out with 3 cars to get food felt like a hassle but it can be done. No idea about chinese or other restaurants that would do delivery in the area :/

Thinking of HQ this Thursday. 99% of it happening, just need to actually alert the roomies. snip I'm busy this Canada Day weekend so I won't be going but I have a suggestion: Throw a BBQ. Grill + paper plates + plastic utensils + groceries = surprisingly cheap and delicious. Easy to clean up too. Oh, and Rigel. My copy of BBEX is in the PS3. I have UMVC3.

On a brighter note, just asked my parents if the BBQ has any issues and my father was gonna go tomorrow, so he'll just check and give me an update about it. So far the current status of the BBQ option is : you probably need to fill the gas tank and clean it a bit.
