I often times don't have anyone else to play with and the one thing want to improve on is my neutral game. I don't exactly know how to practice this in training mode or if I should just play online? I just don't like playing online because of lag.

If you're any good with Neutral pressure with any other character, you can set the training dummy to record a certain amount of action and replay it. You may know what is coming, but if it is a proper attacking string, you could always try your neutral game against it? Other than CPU or Recording dummy movements, I have no other suggestions. :/

Don't even bother. Learning your neutral game is about learning what kind of players your opponent is and how to best zone him/get in and do damage, and you can't do that in training mode.

training mode is a useful SUPPLEMENT when learning the neutral game imo. if you find yourself constantly getting hit by an opponent's attack, recreate that situation in training mode as best you can (position and timing) and try out other options against it. beware that this won't teach you how to avoid getting into that situation in the first place!

learning neutral game from nothing? first hand experience is the best, but videos are useful too.

I'd say that you should just try and play online. Lag is not THAT big of a deal if you're playing with people that live somewhat near you with a decent connection and as long as neither of you are using or sharing your internet connection. Ask around here and see if you can setup some matches with people that live near you.

You can benefit a lot from thinking about your neutral. The same goes for when you watch videos. Really think about what you see people doing in neutral.
