Hit me up on AIM for some games if you want them; I'm pretty much always up for some (name on AIM is same as my forum name). But to answer your question, yes, there isn't anyone who still plays regularly (except for shinkan, maybe), it's almost exclusively people requesting matches from other people these days.

Edit : And like Katz said, you can always go on the #reloadonline IRC to ask around for some matches, but pretty much all they do in there is talk about SC2 streams, play Gundam on PS2, and talk about the good ol' days.

#reloadonline is still alive and well, but I think only shinkan still plays. Most of us are there for general GG / fighting game talk and are patiently waiting for +R.

Also if you're that KillerQLeon guy - people have asked that you stop dropping after every match, as it's kind of silly when there's only like 2 people who play #R online and that sort of thing still happens

Yeah those VIE... players u saw in the lobby are pretty much leaving the game, although they are good players...

It's pretty alive. Mostly for Europe though. Since you know, we get fucked over by Ark so hard.

 

Good thing that ps4 doesn't allow multi accounts, so that we'll get fucked even harder in the future :D .

 

Anyway, lots of people play it since the Xrd announcement.

Is there an IRC channel, or anything the like, europeans use for #R netplay? I see people in the lobby with <50ms to me sit on 4f delay by default, which is terrible. So I'm limited to playing people I know outside the lobby to get any 2-3 delay matches in, which aren't that many.

Well lately i have only played my own friends (that are new to GGX, got them hyped with the GGXrd trailer !), before i used to pass through the wing dreams channel or some bb skype chat.

 

Most my random encounters will be at the 4 frame delay.  While it's not the best, i wouldn't call it terrible. I mean, after the psn version of ac r i'm sure i would even find 6f delay decent. It's alive in the sense that at the end of the day, quite a decent number of players logged in, but it's not "street fighter" alive obviously, so most people ended up going for 4f and got used to it, because it allowed for broader chances of fighting people.
