Dreiko Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Imma drop some Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan secrets on this thread (Idk if it's been said before) The best, time-efficient combo is as follows: X>ODc>5B>(if they're crouching) 5D>6C>j.623B>2D>8/9dash>j.C>j.623B>5C>6D>Daifunka. Only requires j.D seal (6D if you want a cross up) 50 heat and I believe 50% health. Does 5.5/7K depending on what you start with, and you can start with almost anything What starter you're gonna do this off of varies the damage quite a bit. For example, 5C is the main likely starter to have in this situation which has p1 of 80 while if you had a 2B crouching confirm to OD off-of it'd be much higher damage and if it's a 5A then you don't get much at all sadly. If you're gonna do something which consumes 50 heat, it's better to just go for a 3C>RC confirm instead to prolong your OD duration since you should be able to make most of that meter back in the ensuing combo while if you just burn it in the end with daifunka you're not gonna be making it back so for crouching confirms at 50% health I'd go for 5B>2B>3C>RC>OD>2B>9JC>6JC>6JC>2>8JC>9JC>6JC>6JC>623B>5C>6D>2D>JD>2C>623B>2C. It does approximately 6.1k and makes 43 meter back due to the 50 meter use in it occurring early enough that the OD activation coincides with the meter gain cooldown of the RC so you get full meter for the entire OD combo. Sadly, it's almost never worth it to use OD cancels with Bang as far as optimization goes, you'd only really wanna do it to seal bursts or if it's the only way to kill which isn't a situation that occurs often at all. Also, if you're too far for 5B to connect, you can do 5C>ODc>2B. It's a tighter link but it's possible and good to know in those instances where your 5C hits but you're too far to do literally anything else (even 2C whiffs).

Whoops, lol. I'll check again and see how much it is. But you do need about 30% health to get the OD daifunka
ReynTime180 Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Alright, so re-tested the combo, it takes 70% health off of standing confirm, no OD daifunka, but you get 6K off 5B, not bad. Crouching, it takes a minimum of 50% to get the combo, gets you 6K off of 5B, 5.3 off 5C. Meh.
jme Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Gotta question most likely answered before: Do you really need to dash up 2B after 623B in the corner? Especially if you just cancel from 5C or 2C you'll just hit them without dashing just standing there. I ask this because I find frustratingly weird how I'm able to dash up and hit them consistently after a basic, day 1 combo 5A > 5B > 2B > 2C > 623B and then dash up 2B EVERYTIME, but I can't do it off of a standalone 5B, 2B(sometimes 5C and 2C). If it's just me then I understand, I'll just practice but I just wanted to know if that's like a thing that everyone knows about before I start trying to practiinge something that can't be done practically.

ReynTime180 Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 This was featured in a CMV before, but it's good to see it elaborated on. What I seems you have to do, is barrier or OD after the GP, it works with and D attack, in theory at least. I've only got to do OD after a 5D GP.

Meximan2.0 Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 after many many hours of trying...barrier does work but from what ive seen so far as soon as you get a guard point you must push back and barrier instantly...so pretty much 5D than 4A+B and also i havent figured out how to work in the teleport consistanly either but if you wana teleport try pushing 5D and any other button at the same time to start up the auto guard then go into barrier works most of the time for me......still not good enough so im missing something but idk what yet.

Of the few times I got this to work was when I did 5D overdrive cancel and didn't teleport, so it's possible to do it both ways. well yeah you dont have to teleport but i havent figured out how not to ive only do it by accident when i dont teleport. also this works with CT and throws so CT,Barrier, throws and OD works but the problem is just timing...they all seem to be the same timeing but what that timing is i have no idea yet...im still failing alot more than getting.

You're pretty much starting a double jump but it reads the 9 as an 8 and a 6 at the same time, so it gets read as 66 for a dash. The other important tip once you get the IAD down, is the delay the follow up j.C as much as possible.

We're thinking it's going to be something like: 3C FC>2B>6B>5B>2B>IAD loop We might be able to do a 5C after the 5B, which might lead into 6A>6C>??? I haven't seen any Bangs in 1.1 yet, the Japanese probably have figured something out by now.
