What do we do in this matchup? He seems to be way faster than we are. Can we do much other than waiting for him to do something stupid or stuffing out his approaches?

What items do we want? I like presents for use in daring them to come closer.

From my experience, just turtle. His lack of overheads make for a weak mix-up game, and backdash possible purple grabs.

 

My personal favorite items to punish him with are Piko Hammer and Frying Pan. While bat/cat hammer do great fishing out counters, they tend to reset the neutral game. Hammer/Pan opens him up for some nasty punishment.
