WarCloud Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 (edited) does anyone have a clear understanding of the colour emblems? i've been bouncing between orange to yellow forever and just today i got (what i'm told is demoted) to green after doing nothing but winning vs an orange 4x... wtf? not to mention there are hella terrible "good" colours walking around as well as blue players capable of kicking much ass (a player JudgeLightx comes to mind) the only other factor for me personally is that i have a router that likes to kick out when i'm playing.. though the past few days i haven't had a D/C and i've "dropped rank" it doesn't even bother me at the face value that is "my ranking".. but rather that i'm trying to make sense of something that seems to go against what everyone is saying. any info is appreciated. please provide source as well. WarCloud Posted December 21, 2013 Author Posted December 21, 2013 Booted up the game and I was undeservedly orange (last I remember I was still light green and I lost 3 straight to a pink hakumen) Beat 1 pink and 2 orange and turned yellow. Still cannot comprehend this.
fogelstrom Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Bump. I to really want to know about this... I've been Orange since... forever it seems and I got demoted to Yellow after one of my best online days with certainly over 70% win rate that day. I also only lost to Orange/Yellow/Pink people that day... I hope someone knows about this or care enough to send an e-mail to AWS directly demanding an explanation hah.
Sadeyo Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/680197-blazblue-chrono-phantasma/67851533 This might shed some light as I also been curious about it, take this list with a grain of salt that is. It doesn't quite rank the 'pink colors' that are walking around. Rage quitters or just that godly leaving them S tier. Have anyone found that system behind your ultimate rival match when looking at your D Card or is that only on rank?
Kurushii Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 You seriously just linked to a gamefaqs thread that copies part of my menu translation from here... http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?17814-CP-Menu-Translations
Sadeyo Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Would've helped if this was linked sooner. It answers most of our questions besides the pink that are normally walking around, I'm going to safely assume pink are like S tier at this rate.
Kurushii Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 If you want you can download the Japanese manual here and check out the page that talks about the network colors. It shows red as the best, but in game it's pink instead. Who knows why they choose a different color.
Ried Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Because Kokonoe is pink. Therefor pink must be the strongest color.
fogelstrom Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 After trying out someone speculations on how this works I actually believe said speculation to be true. Thought I'd update this thread about it if anyone else looks for this information. You rank up/down by playing people that are the same color as you are. I was orange and only focused on playing other orange players, sure enought I was pink in half a day. Also my friend tried out the same thing as yellow and got orange the day after. We both also ranked down people this way. I'm not saying this is 110% how it works but it sure looks like it from our trials.

Was pretty sure he had the rundown on this months ago.
gamester Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I get beaten a lot at BB and I've been Dark Green since I roughly started and it hasn't changed. I like to try and play a load of people in Yellow, Orange and Pink/Red for a challenge and gain experience playing better players and rarely have matches against fellow Dark Greens. But I'm happy staying at Dark Green because it's my favourite colour xD I'm sure it's safe to say you need to play people at your own Emblem/Colour Rank to make it change I don't care for change personally as I said Dark Green is my favourite colour and I would like to stay there forever lol.
Jx31 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I have had six to seven game win streaks on people of the same color as me (light green) and it STILL hasn't changed. I more or less stopped caring about it, light green for life.
someonewhodied Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 When your wins exceed losses by 10 against people of the same color, you rank up. When your losses exceed wins by 10 against people of the same color, you rank down. Thats all there is to the color system.

mAceOfHearts Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I really dislike how you're being graded on every match. I feel like I can't just mess around with casual matches anymore, because those still count towards my ´´rank``.

Sounds a little like the Battalion Wars 2 Online ranking system but instead you get stars xD Oh yeah. I saw when I was in Lobby yesterday iirc two Dark Greens going at it... Fighting and 3 matches in one of them went up to Light Green. I don't know if this observation helps in any way but thought I'd mention it.
