Er... If I remember right, these are rather old, aren't they? I believe they've been posted in the Zappa forums before, but this brings up the point of why aren't they in the sticky lol... Anyways, yeah, They aren't too bad for getting the grasp of things. Don't be afraid to make up your own shenanigans though, Zappa isn't like Eddie where everyone tries to play the same way D:

Some of these combos and set-ups are disgusting. Why don't more people use 5hs FRC combos? Pretty decent damage off them, especially for naked Zapps.

It's the rarity of the usage of 5HS that makes those combos good. How often will you be in naked mode with tension? Chances are, not very often. 5HS is completely and totally unsafe without tension, since it can be grabbed ON HIT. To boot, timing a move to connect after the FRC is difficult to chain properly, however, this is easier now in AC since it has 2 FRC points. The fact is, 5HS is such a bad move it becomes good, since it's not used much they will never see it coming and when you will use it, you will need to use tension to do anything with it.

Damage isn't always Zappa's priority, when it comes right down to it. It's the main goal, of course, but he takes the scenic route to the Damaging combos :psyduck: But my point is, don't expect to do those often, but know them just in case (zappa's mixup is nasty good so take advantage of it).

Alrighty.

Btw, is there anything decent I can do offa 6HS CH with naked, 6HS on crouching opponents?

Generally I wouldn't use 6HS when naked since it is amazingly unsafe and rather easy to see coming. :psyduck:

You can usually get an otg summon if it is a ch, if you are the perfect distance you can do a 2p or 5a and continue from there but it is a really small window and not really worth it.

The only reason I use 6HS is for guys who think they can get away with blocking low all day. Mynus (I-no player) is a great example, I use to catch him all day with it. Otherwise, I make sure I have tension and RC it on impact.

What about after the impact? I've been using it for a random mix-up on some of CO's better players. After knockdown, I rush up, toss a 2k or something like that so it looks like I'm going for a really poorly executed meaty tick-throw, then 6HS on their actual wake-up. Most either try to duck/block, or throw tech. Works wonders, but I want to get the most out of everything, y'know?

The move is just risky. If it's working for you then great. It does have some range properties that you may be able to work with. I think if you get them to block whatever combo you got to the point that the pushback gets them out of range of another hit, I believe you can do the 6HS and have your own pushback that gets them out of range to counter attack. i.e.: 2P, 2K, 5Sc, 6P, 5Sf, 6HS, "safer" recovery

It's essentially the same thing as 5HS, you use it so rarely that when you do use it, it can be pretty good. It is pretty easy to see coming but the thing is that it IS safe on hit, unlike 5HS, so it's still a good option (with tension, of course). I usually use it when my normal pressure doesn't bait an attack, and then RC on hit, late j.p/j.k and summon as soon as I land.
