HDKirin Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) General discussion for Stargazer goes in here. Source: http://www4.atwiki.jp/arcgundamexvsfuvo/pages/71.html Move List: [A] - Beam Gun (Dmg: 70) Standard BR shot, except it's not a rifle. [CSa] - Beam Gun (Rapid Fire) aka Spinning / Twirling (Dmg: 147 if all shots connect) Fires 3 BR shots while rapidly spinning like a top. Each shot fired is retrackable. [AB] - Flash Mine (Dmg: 120 if all hits connect) Pressing AB once will lay down a mine. It'll detonate by itself after ~7-8 seconds or you can manually detonate it by pressing AB once more. Lands multiple hits on an opponent & launches them into the air with red-lock allowing for follow-up shots. [AC] - DSSD Civilian Astray Frame Assist (Dmg: 108) Summons 2 Astray Frames that both fire 2 BR shots each. [bC] - Volture Lumiere Pressing BC deploys VL once it's available & steadily depletes via a timer. VL mode is in effect when a bunch of green rings surround Stargazer. This mode improves mobility and replaces all of Stargazer's normal melee attacks with new melee attacks that has the rings attack the enemy. Pressing melee in VL mode tracks & consumes no boost at all. - BC now tackles the opponent with its rings when in VL mode. [ABC] (during EX-Burst) - Propulsion Beam System (Dmg: 277 in Assault Burst & 256 in Blast Burst) Rushes toward the opponent and if it connects, Stargazer grabs it & drags it very fast along with it and ends it off with a burst of its VL rings. Cancel Routes Turnaround Freefall Cancel: (With back turned to target) A->AB Strategy Harass with CSa a lot. CSa maintains momentum of the suit, while firing off shots so it's possible to actually evade shots with it while immediately punishing targets in one move. AB is generally used for its Turnaround Freefall Cancel, but it can be utilized in oki situations by planting it near a downed opponent and pressuring them to wake up & travel in the direction of the mine, which can be especially tempting if the opponent is cornered. AB is also sometimes used to discourage opponents from getting in on Stargazer. BC mode is its most threatening tool to opponents. BC->BBBBB chases a fair distance and if it connects, it keeps both Stargazer & its target moving which makes it more difficult to interrupt. Plus, BC->BBBBB DOES NOT consume boost once it connects which allows Stargazer to quickly make a safe get away if necessary. Its EX-Burst Attack has super armor and travels in very fast on targets. Once it connects, it drags both the Stargazer & its target out very fast which makes it nearly impossible to actually disrupt once it connects, until the very end when Stargazer is stationary. Basic Combos Note: -> means normal cancel, >> means boost dash cancel, > means rainbowstep cancel Normal Mode BC>>BC>>BC (Dmg: 147) Volture Lumiere BC->BBBBB (Dmg: 217) Video Section Edited February 22, 2014 by HDKirin
HDKirin Posted February 22, 2014 Author Posted February 22, 2014 A much needed update was applied! More to come when I get around to it.
WisteriaFrame Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I'm not sure if you know this but Stargazer also has a combo in normal mode through it's cc8b. If it connects, tapping B will continue the combo. I don't however know how safe it is, but you do move around a lot.
HDKirin Posted February 22, 2014 Author Posted February 22, 2014 Yea I'm aware of it. It causes knockdown too, but honestly not that useful, since you move pretty slowly throughout it. The combos & stuff aren't done, but the Shin MSH episode only goes over practical tools instead of going over every single thing it has, since there's no point going over stuff that's honestly not really ever used. Thank you though!
WisteriaFrame Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 I figured it wasn't useful, cause I don't ever see an opportunity for Normal mode Stargazer to do a cc anything, let alone a slow melee combo. I just figured I'd mention it since it wasn't mentioned and I can see why, lol. You've said that Stargazer would be episode 1 many times and I'm glad you did cause its a great, fun suit. Awesome 1st highlight video! Keep up the Awesome work,
