I avoided the "take care of me" translation on purpose for no real reason, but it's true that that's the most common way you'll see the phrase translated. I actually edited that post, like, four times trying to decide how to or whether I should even bother to write translations for that phrase.

In any case, I didn't actually realize that we didn't have a full list of comms anywhere until just now, either. Not really sure we need one, but I guess it can't hurt to just post it somewhere.

So, I'm currently working on GP03, and I was wondering a couple of things.  Here's the link for the JP wiki: http://www4.atwiki.jp/arcgundamexvsfuvo/pages/268.html

 

- For his Sub missiles, is 5ab is the input for firing waves of 3 missiles that fan out, if I'm reading the JP wiki correctly.  How many waves of 3 does it fire?  I'm guessing 2 based on the numbers, but 6ab launches 12(?) missiles, so I'm not entirely sure

- The next line suggests that muzzle correction is applied to the first 2 waves of missiles, but not the 3rd?  Again, not sure :(

緑ロックでも2発目で銃口補正が再度かかる。

 

- I'm unsure what these lines are saying about the -a melee derivation for GP03's 5b and 6b strings.  I'm assuming that it's simply saying that it consumes Main ammo, but I'm not entirely sure.

射撃派生で武器コンテナを呼び出し、メインの弾を回復しつつバズーカ2連射。

派生はメインの弾を消費するため入力後の弾数は8。

 

EDIT: On second thought, after going through some of the combos, there's combos like this, which suggest that it somehow manually reloads your Main?  I'm utterly confused now :(

NN>NN射 184 メイン回復。だがダメは↑↑より伸びず、回復目的ならさっさと派生したほうがいいかも。

Might as well ask and get some help from ACTUAL pro's at Gundam. 

 

I need some help!

 

I've been finding myself playing worse than usual. I swear I'll play less suits during the day and focus more on suits I want to main in the future. But keeping that aside.

I don't know where I should start with. Should I focus on mobility over confirming hits? Or the other way around? 

I've been trying the "keep moving around and try not to get hit" tactic, but that hasn't been working out very well for me...

If I can get steered in the proper direction, I think I should be smooth sailing for a bit. But I've kind of lost my way. 

So a few quick pointers would be nice.

 

* I have watched the fundamentals video over and over again, and I have picked up useful things from it, but it's just my execution that needs work and my efficiency. I feel like I can do semi-decently if I know what to focus on and look out for what my opponents are throwing my way.

I have been finding myself getting hit by too many stray shots or shot in the food. Is there something I should look into before entering the fray at a "it looks okay but I don't really know" moment? Because I think that's why I get hit too much. I am not watching my surroundings enough.

And damn, I dunno how the -a follow up restores ammo, but I guess it makes sense given all the combos that say "restore main" and stuff like that.

With regards to your execution needing work, the only solution for that is to practice.  Whatever it is you need to work on execution-wise, grind it out in CPU matches or training mode.  Focus on important stuff (particularly movement, such as fuwasteps and fuwafuwa) before fancy combos.

 

I dunno what getting "shot in the food" means, but in general I'm assuming that you're referring to getting hit air-to-air as opposed to landing punished?  If landing punishes are what you're concerned about, then it just comes down to learning how to better manage your boost and never consciously going into Overheat unless you're going to Burst (even then, it's still risky in a Blast half-burst).  Using evasive and boost-efficient movement options such as BD jumps and fuwasteps are also integral.

 

Air-to-air comes down to a combination of vectors, and guidance and muzzle correction of the opponent's projectile.  Try your best not to be moving straight at the opponent or even sharply diagonal towards them, unless you're certain they won't fire at you.  Boost-efficient mobility such as BD jumps and fuwas are very important here as well, since they'll make it much harder for you to hit.

Sorry to ask another translation question, though this one is thankfully shorter.

 

GP02 has 2 combo sections, one of which is described by this:

 

威力は サーベルを使ったコンボ:通常時-サーベル強化時-B覚-A覚

 

And a shorter one described by this:

 

以下、通常時主力コンボ一覧。

 

I'm guessing the bottom one is his BnB list?  If so, I'll just copy those, since he has so many melee bc derivations that his combo list would be insanely long otherwise.

 

Plus I'm always about practicality, and combos off his Main just aren't likely.

Since we're talking about Japanese translations in the wiki, what in the world is コン?? I feel like it can't just be short-hand for コンボ, considering it's always with something else like デスコン、スカしコン、放置コン、魅せコン・・・?

Pretty sure it stands for combo. The rest of the stuff with it just denotes the type of combo. Not sure what the last two are, the first two are probably death combo and hype combo.

I could be wrong on this, though, should probably get someone to double check for me.

Also, I just noticed I wrote "shot in the FOOD" instead of FOOT. My bad.

 

But thanks for the pointer! I'll try to focus more on movement and see where that can land me. Literally.

One quick thing; in the meantime, I had started working on GX Divider, and "ブレ" popped up in the combo section.  Considering its use as a cancel, I have to assume that it's bc, but I just wanna make sure :P

Sorry to post again so soon, but I'm working on GP02 combos, which there are a crapton of.

 

This was listed in the description of some of GP02s Dom starter 6b-whiff combos, and since it's highlighted in red I figured it's fairly important:

 

(横)Nからドムへの繋ぎは 最速左ステ で安定。

繋ぎ = transfer or connection in this case I think? But it's also like "stopgap" or temporary time-filler I know...

最速左ステ = quickest left (rainbow) step

安定 = stability

 

So..."the (4B)B>Dom assist transition is fastest and most stable using left-step" is how I read it...?

And another translation question yay!  This one's on Tallgeese III, since he has a whole section devoted to SV and fuwastepping with/in spite of SV.

 

Here's a line regarding "SV fuwa" that I think details the input, of which I'm not 100% confident in.  Sorry for the trouble :(

Sorry for the double post, but got a quick one.

 

This was for Deathscythe's ab Nataku assist reload, kinda confused since there's a 25 but no sign of how much ammo is refilled or anything.  His Active Cloak mode also has no reload on the sub, so I'm kinda consfused :(

So I feel like I'm lost. I need to step up my front game. I feel at least somewhat comfortable with every cost suit except 3ks. 

 

What's a good 3k to learn with?
