madworlder Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) Unit(s): AMX-109 Kapool & AMX-109 Kapool Corin Nander Custom Pilot(s): Sochie Heim & Corin Nander HP: 360 & 480 Kapools are unique because they are two different units in one character. Only one may be "active", the other is held in reserve and recovers a little more than 2 health each second. So even though their individual healths are lower than an average 2000-cost, they have the potential to have more effective health. Kapools at Japanese EXVSFB Wiki Move List Sochie Kapool: [A]: Handgun Low-power machine gun. 120 Ammo. Brake Cancel when empty or turning around. [CSa]: Missile Salvo Shoots missiles and fires the handguns. Medium strength. [AB]: Miashei Assist Call Miashei to shoot a missile. Brake Cancel. [AC]: Missile Sochie and Corin each shoot two high-powered missiles. When you use this move, you slide to the right. You can BD cancel before you fire the missiles. [bC]: Tag out Corin comes in, and Sochie will begin to recover health after a delay. Requires about 1/5 boost. [ABC Super]: Rocket Punch to the Groin Rocket Punch with missiles, and stuff. Using this super will cause you to switch Kapools. Corin Kapool: [A]: Missiles Medium-damage missiles. Brake Cancel when empty. [CSa]: Rocket Punch High-damage projectile. Forces down if used while jumping. [AB]: Miashei Assist Throw Miashei to disable the opponent. [AC]: Three Times the Normal Corin uses two Kapools as thrusters for his Custom Kapool. Uses boost, but only goes forward. Faster than boosting, but risky. [bC]: Tag out Sochie comes in, and Corin will begin to recover health after a delay. Requires about 1/5 boost. [ABC Super]: Rocket Punch to the Groin Rocket Punch with missiles, and stuff. Using this super will cause you to switch Kapools. Mightfo Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I've seen kapools in vids get almost 3 half bursts in a single life. That's amazing for a 2k, and another perk of the HP regen. The width on sochie kapool csA is really nice too. MG braking also seems good.
madworlder Posted January 30, 2014 Author Posted January 30, 2014 Wow, I love these. Even more than I thought I would.

Mightfo Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 How do you go about MG braking exactly with the Kapools? Or which move do you use to brake and save boost? hey, sorry for not getting back to you on this sooner. not exactly sure how it works, but ill upload a video of it(it was uploaded to youtube before but the account got deleted, i saved it before hand tho) later. and ill test out brakes again and try to provide some info. It seems like if you're mid air and then you go to the ground and you A while you touch the ground, you brake.
Mightfo Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 other ways to brake: turnaround A with mg, turnaround corin missile A when no ammo left, the typical ground run jump cancel->step(or melee->step while on ground?), sochie AB(not quite as quick as others it seems to me?) and yeah, it seems if you fire MG just as you're touching the ground from being in the air, it works as a brake. so if you wanna brake without using AB or stepping and while facing the enemy, i guess just do a brief tap of C and MG slightly as you are about to touch the ground. https://sites.google.com/site/unlimitedbrettworks/gundam-extreme-vs/cancels-list btw other brakes/amekyans are noted here~
WisteriaFrame Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I have a question about what all suits that aren't really well equipped in the melee department. What's the best option, for both Kapools, to counter incoming melee? MG for Sochie seems good but what about Corin? Also, what's a good melee for both Kapools to go in with? I'm especially concerned about which melee Corin should use when you get the opening for AC? I've been getting stuffed pretty bad when using that, and not by just shots, either

I've been getting stuffed pretty bad when using that, and not by just shots, either sochie csA seems pretty solid for anti-melee. not sure if any of corin's tools are especially good vs melee, may just have to rely on fundamentals for him. When approaching after AC with corin, I've just used 6b which seems good enough, but ill test the reach/startup/priority of their melees some later. keep in mind that during assault burst melee reach etc is improved quite a bit, so that can influence both your success and enemy success with melee. https://sites.google.com/site/unlimitedbrettworks/gundam-extreme-vs/gundam-exvs-guide/an-introduction/beginner-losing-streak-correction-lecture---putting-it-into-practice#TOC-Judging-Distance-and-Counteracting-Melee may help you vs melee. also, teamwork is quite important to dealing with melee. keep them out and prevent melee situations with your ally's help.

Gotcha, I'll test 6b out and let me know what you may find out, That link has been like my reference for improving my gameplay, however, when I'm practicing/playing locally(casually with friends & family), I only have AI to depend on for support, lol. I'll keep working to prevent or decrease as much melee encounters as possible, though. Always room for improvement and thank you,
