SkagMaster Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Greetings, people of Dustloop, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Raquise (SkagMaster as well), and I am a huge fighting game fan. My passion for fighting games started with the DBZ Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi games for the PS2. Most of my fighting game knowledge (moderate at best) originates from these games and I've been carrying over my habits to other fighting games. With other fighters such as BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, and Persona 4 Arena, I felt that the learning curve was more diffiult than anticipated, because my mentality shifted from 3D to 2D fighters. My question is whether or not this is normal, or is my case "different?" Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks for your time!
swordsman09 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 No this is pretty normal. Try to get use to the fact that mashing one button won't guarantee victory. Unless you're playing Mitsuru in P4A that is.
SkagMaster Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 I see. I suppose I should say that I particularly cannot stand, buttonmashing, because I find it degrading to other players. Using it will only get you so far until yiu start losing. I'd rather lose knowing what I did wrong rather than not. Regardless, thanks for the input, as I now know that it was bound to happen eventually. Much appreciated!
