Kitsoru Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 This was my second major and I don't think I made a post for my first one so I'm gonna make one now SO: Roomiesss: Ama- didn't cry ONCE the entire weekend while training me, even when I said 5p was a bad poke (and saying I got better :333) Circus Tits- made me laugh so hard I cried, like 3 times? And always absurdly chill to hang out with NYC: Dai- somehow ended up TOing, again. If there was anyone I could abandon in Logan Square who could both find food AND get back to Rosemont alone, it was you! Slothfacts- thanks for the Bridget MU experience and general between-matches chat! Everyone else: Glac- Tao is coming along great! Girls room for Combobreaker maybe!? Shinsyn- running around like crazy all weekend keeping the anime hype up, I didn't even realize you weren't TOing most of the tourney! MikeZ- said I was cool for reciting obscure GG story and setting info by heart ;w; t-thank you Brandino- finally got to play you off netplay and thanks for the MU tips! I need to just not burst against HOS lol VR- Such a nice guy, thanks a ton for the Sol rounds and tips! Congrats on the Top8! Next time I'll parry more...on purpose LOL Rob- thanks for thrashing me with your Jam, I needed it lol- and the valuable Millia experience! Axis- making me feel like I'm at an anime con every major with those damn ears+tail, there is no respite from this hell Anyone else I played or hung out with- I leveled up hard this weekend and it's thanks to this awesome community! Thank you! Anyone who complimented/took photos of Kokonoe- thank you for making cosplayers feel so welcome in the fgc! But thank you to everyone who spent time with me at UFGT (I was lost and lonely in Chicago ;_; ), and especially to those who took time out of playing people they traveled miles upon miles to see, just to try and help me get halfway decent at GGACR. Thank you for being so nice to me. You made the trip worth the ~$600 in expenses, and braving airport security twice. Also, special mention to SuperJ for putting up with me as a roommate for four days. That's Ghandi-like patience, in my mind. (I just don't want to post a big shout-outs list when I'm just some rando-newbie nobody cares about, honestly.) Hope I see you all again~!
Tsukahara Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I can't remember everyone I ran into/played over the weekend, but shoutouts to everyone I ran into during GG casuals. It was a lot of fun learning matchups I never get to play, and to meet a lot of people I see on the forums. Me and the group of guys from Winnipeg I came down with all had a great time, and will be coming back next year for sure!
