MotokoChill Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 So how much exactly do you have to mash in order to recover in GGAC+R? It's very different from Blaz and Persona, which have easier methods of recovery. Also, does this vary between each Guilty game?(including Xrd) Please inform me on what's good so that I don't have trouble with this anymore.
Ctrlaltwtf Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 The big difference here is that you can't tech on the ground in the GG. Your character will automatically stand up. As for aerial teching it's pretty much identical to pre-CP BB. I wouldn't recommend mashing tech in the air because it's easy to throw in some cases. Just wait for the combo to be over and tech in the direction you want. As you get more familiar with the game it will be easier to tech when you want. I can't confirm it because I haven't really been keeping up with gameplay information, but I think Xrd implemented hold-to-tech. Someone will need to confirm that though.
VR-Raiden Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 If you're just aiming for the quickest back tech, a good way is holding back rapidly mashing 2 buttons (not including D or S+H). That way if you press one too many times you will get Faultess Defense instead of an air attack. The aim is to not press anything extra after teching though, unless you wanted to. Or you can hold one button and mash the other for a similar result. Not sure if you're on pad or stick, on pad I used to pivot my thumb between 2 buttons and look for the tech to stop. Or just mash the hell out of H (that ended up badly often though). And last I heard hold to tech was not included in Xrd.
MotokoChill Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 Okay cool, I'll try it more often with P & K instead now. At the moment the sanwa buttons on my stick have been getting hard to press so I'm using pad. Teching at the right time is something I'll need to practice. Thanks!
