Pre-Register for the Event!

 

After a long hiatus, New Challengers returns with the latest event in our tournament series: Resistance! This event will be held at the Stratford Hotel & Conference Center. Pre-register for the event by clicking on the link above; You only have to pay the $10 venue fee, you pay for the games you are entering at the event. This ensures we can have brackets seeded correctly and can correct any errors before the event starts. Also it ensures we can start and end on time!

Pre-registered attendees will also be entered in exclusive raffles! There will be door registration but it will be $12 (seriously pre-register people).
 

When: Saturday June 7th 2014

Venue Opens: 12 pm
Onsite Registration: 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm
Time: 2 pm - 11 pm

Prizes is split pot at:

70% for 1st 
20% for 2nd 
10% for 3rd
Entry fee + thank you to 4th 

Venue Fee: $10(online only, $12 at door) You must pay venue if your just playing casuals Games:

SSF4: ULTRA: 2 out of 3 only Grand Finals are 3 out of 5 (Capcom Pro Tour Style)

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3: 3 out of 5 the whole tournament

Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate 2 out of 3 only Grand Finals are 3 out of 5

Killer Instinct:3 out of 5 whole tournament MLG format

Blazblue Chrono Phantasma: 2 out of 3 only Grand Finals are 3 out of 5

 

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +R: 2 out of 3 matches, Grand Finals are 3 out of 5 matches.

Systems: Xbox 360, Killer Instinct is being run on Xbox One, Blazblue will be run on PS3.

We will have setups separately in the back, so you can play casuals while waiting for your turn in the tournament. Also feel free to bring in your own setup to play the game you want (space permitting)!

I also want to note that we'll need full setups for Blazblue, which includes both a PS3 and an Asus monitor. If you've pre-registered and are willing to bring either a PS3, a monitor, or both, please post either here or on the Facebook event page to let me know!

Is this that really big venue with all the card games? I remember going for that one P4U event.

Nope, this is at the Stratford Hotel and Conference Center (225 Lordship Boulevard, Stratford, CT). The previous venue that we used was GamingEtc., which is quite literally right down the street. We'll actually have even more space at this venue, so this is a good thing.

Hey, back with a quick update. Project M has apparently been added to the lineup, with the Facebook event page here. At this point, this event is going to be huge. Remember to pre-register and pay the $10 venue fee in advance so you aren't paying $12 at the door! Also by pre-registering, you can sign up for games in advance and guarantee your spot!
