I first tried JoytoKey, then MotionJoy + Xpadder (with PS3-pad). One problem is, that it doesn't recognize the keyboard-letters when mapping them to the gamepad (i can "write" stuff in Word with the pad fine). And when i map the gamepad-button to X i can attack in dungeons, but i can't talk to people in town anymore, except using the mouse. Ok, so i settled with using the mouse but the second problem is, after playing for 5 minues or something i always get a security alert for using hacking software, with both setups (joytokey/xpadder). I'm on windows8. Did you have the same problems or know what i'm doing wrong? :/ Guild sounds like fun if i get it to work Run as administrator. New version of DFO requires it now. For some reason the anti-security software thinks you're running hacks if you don't. I'm fairly certain its a bug. I had the same issue.

Hmm, i think i have everything on Run as administrator already after it kicked me out the first time... but will try again later this week, gotta work tomorrow >.< Thx for the hints =) The fix for the letters not being recognized was to set compatibility of Xpadder to Windows XP btw (not Win7). Now i can talk to NPCs in town and stuff...
Solless Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Okay, I tried using xpadder and then booting up DFO, but it didn't work. The game still registered the directional inputs, but when I tried any buttons I had set up, it wouldn't recognize them as key presses.

If you can't "write" in other windows, it means you can't run it on DFO either. If not, restart (seemed to work for me). If that don't work, set compatibility to Windows XP and pretty repeating one of the aforementioned processes.

Female Launcher + female Brawler will probably be my first subs, they look pretty stylish And i don't know if i'll have to start over on some Europe server in April or when they eventually put up servers over here. (If i'm still able to abandon my stuff by then...)

Odds are it'll be the same.

There was a closed alpha test a while back, now they changed it from a closed beta test to 2 phases of open beta instead of going closed then open. The event is to simply play the game and get rewarded for it. There's going to be a raffle with bug reports that were legitimate bug reports to be used as entry tickets.
Hollysmoke Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Oh, so this isn't the full release? Far from it, and amazingly we just got about 4-5 years of content over Nexon's mess. They've been patching a lot of security stuff and dropping the hammer on hackers and gold sellers first and foremost. We're still going to get second awakenings, more classes (Knight, Female Slayer), and dungeons and stuff. PvP is still fun. We've been doing King of Fighter-style 3v3 teams. Maybe I'll record some matches later and upload them. There's a lot to do now and it's fun. I just rolled a low-level Monk named ADRIAAAAAAAAAAANNNN!!! (Yes it must be shouted out) I can level with you in the 15~ ish range. My Mechanic and Necromancer is mid-30s and my Striker is 60. I got something for everyone :D
