I just bought this game yesterday and decided to main Yukiko. Trying to learn the system before P4AU comes out. PSN four20h3ro.

I'd be down for the Skype group, too.

Did this Beginner skype group happen? I would like to join

No, because meet ups are pretty frequent and I typically hand out anti-(character) tech whenever asked or after noticing something. But we can add you to the rooms.

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but is Yosuke a good character to pick for beginner to fighting games overall? He's one of my favorite Persona characters and I plan on playing him in Ultimax (I can't play P4A anymore ): )

You want a beginner character? There isn't a character that would be more familiar to newbies gameplay-wise than Narukami.

Also, guys, I don't think I'll be able to do much tonight. Have to recover from the third day of Band Camp.

I don't really like Narukami but I'll probably practice him early on to see and get a basic feel of the game.

In P4U he's one of the easiest characters to play (mostly because of his combos), and in P4U2 he doesn't seem to get any harder to use. Even combos in Sukukaja are easier than before.

Now, what I wanted to post:

1. I don't hate anyone here, it's just that I have to wake up early to go the university.

2. I found two ways to reduce lag even more: The soft one and the "radical" one.

    a) The soft one: In the Display Options, put the "C" type screen.

    b) The radical one: put the console's resolution to 480p (or 720p at least). I don't think a lot of people like this one because of the HD loss, but if you have A LOT of lag it will be very useful.

Thanks for the matches last night. I should be more familiar with the mechanics and Yukiko's zoning game next time. That was literally my first time playing against a person. I was playing the story mode up until then to see how they continued the story from P4 that I loved so much.

It's crucial. I just bought a Rock Candy headset for $20 and it's working quite well. They're widely available at Toys R Us.

I think we need to help Fortune with his Yosuke hate. I recommend all players get in some Yosuke practice so we can flood him with Yosuke and eventually win him over.

HAH! That won't be necessary as this cat says. https://33.media.tumblr.com/52d3e0bdc10612c3e9cfbc25b67f1278/tumblr_n9ibheKOXg1soyp8ao1_400.gif

Oh that sounds very relevant for me especially because I have a large screen.

See people! I can be civil to Yosuke player even when he's challenging the Lag Macro.

Very grateful that hao chi and p4uplayer came to visit last night!

Playing in ranked last night, everyone was skipping the intro and causing some serious lag in the first round. I rage quit my first game due to that.

Achievement unlocked!

I had an Akihiko rage-quit my Shabrys. That was ... interesting. Didn't think I'd ever be on the receiving end of a RQ. (The only other time it happened, the first round was clearly mine but not the match; this time, the opponent was about to lose the match.) Well, you did say my Shabrys is getting nastier....

I don't understand why people rage quit lol, isn't the point of online mode to have fun and compete against other players to improve?

To some people, it's more about win-loss ratios than anything else.

Also, I will be able to play at the usual time tomorrow.

That's pretty dumb considering that those stats are practically fake than and don't prove anything about your skill level.

I rage quit because the other player skipped all of the intro sequence and the match was laggy as hell. I had previously messaged the player explaining that they shouldn't skip that stuff.
