[Noob question] Can you play on EU Servers with an NA Copy of the Game?

Hey there fellow blazblue'rs

 

I am currently planning to import a CP Collectors Edition , since there are no physical copies beeing sold in Europe.

 

That brings me to my question , since the version of the game will be an NA one can i still play on the EU servers? I used to play blazblue soley for the story and never even touched the online mode, so i have no idea how it works IE:If there is matchmaking , servers ETC , so i apologize in advance if this is a stupid question.

One followup question tough , i recently read somewhere that the eu got the latest patch a week later than the NA side. if that happens , does the game simply stop you from playing online till the patch also hits eu , or are you simply locked playing with eu players?

The patch is already global so you can't play online unless you download it.
