Rikir Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Don quote me on this, but i think i found an effective blockstring combo for chaos: 5AAAAAA (auto combo) >5BB > 2B > 5C >2C > 5A (whiff) >6D > J.2C 5AAAAAA> 2C > 5A (whiff) From there you can 6D and rinse n repeat or add a 236A somewhere or you can back out and zone with azhi, i find it pretty effective but i've only tested it in the lab and on cpu's so dont quote me on this. Hopefully this is of use to anyone >_< Oh, this is pretty good actually. The 623A portion of the auto combo is enough frame advantage to go back to 5BB (this isnt a chain btw, youre linking the part of the blockstring) so you get to restore all of your gatlings.

LordSpectreX Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Those "safejumps" from the recent nico video aren't safejumps. You can if you do 2C and use your jump cancel to set it up, but you lose so much damage that it's no-where near worth doing. It loses to shield and DPs. doing j.6D>236Aetc is good though since you can still do other Azhi moves even if they shield it.
LordSpectreX Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Also I found out why the crouching VO midscreen combo was inconsistent on some characters. The problem is not the 5CC>214C itself, you have to have a small delay between 2C and 236C. If I do that, it works fine on Eltnum, Linne and Vatista. It's still unstable on Waldstein, but that's for other reasons. Edit: Ugh, actually, this only really makes it stable from say, 2B>5B>5C>236A starter. From j.2C the combo still feels hella unstable on most characters. Edit2: Honestly, I give up on these Midscreen CH combos. There's so many random little oddities to them.

khmxspider Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 im going to stay with the basics bread and butter. :l and train my neutral game. xD
LordSpectreX Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Oh, this is pretty good actually. The 623A portion of the auto combo is enough frame advantage to go back to 5BB (this isnt a chain btw, youre linking the part of the blockstring) so you get to restore all of your gatlings. Be careful though, this blockstring is incredibly unstable vs Shielding. I've decided that for the combos, doing 236C>2C>IW after these combos is just the best option. Yeah, you lose like 700 damage, but on the plus side it's incredibly stable, and you can do it with 100 meter. 5CC>214C is just so unstable it's a joke, don't bother with it. With 200% meter, you can do 5CC>214C AFTER they touch the ground and just use your ABCD super instead if you must have the extra damage and you need to clutch the game out. That's pretty darn stable as well. You could also be scum and do a reset. An example would be doing Blah Blah>2C>236C>Dash Under>then 5CC>Let them tech backwards or neutral>dashunder them>2B>5BB>j.B>j.C>236C>2C>IW (just about have enough meter with 200%) Ends up doing over 7000 in all, there's other fun gimmicks as well, like 236C>Dash Under>66C>Dash Jump>623A>236A>22A>Crossup trick >j.B>j.C>236C>2C>IW. Pretty cool.

Pretty cool. Neato. Unrelated note: Something ive been implementing a lot more is when you use 236A > 22A in a blockstring, you can just hold block and wait for them to mash something. Azhi pops out and hits them and you can even link into VO if youre a good distance. Works pretty well against 2CC mashy Merkavas.
Rikir Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Got around to dumping all these combos into one document + some others found in this thread.https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Z-5iXxZ3cValVTsvYHVcD-ub8oi_BeBybn1Hc8ftKhk/edit?usp=sharing Other stuff: So I made an /attempt/ to find an infinite blockstring with Chaos when you sandwich your opponent between yourself and Azhi. Basically what I did was try to loop the auto combo pressure string ad infinitum where Azhi would just push your opponent back into Chaos and he can link back into another 5A auto combo string. So like from a knockdown setup: Whatever combo > 2C > B[C] (hold C to keep Azhi behind your opponent)> 236A "meaty" > 2B > 5BB > 5AAAAAA (Azhi does 236A > 623A which pushes them back to Chaos > link 5AAAAAA (Azhi pushes them back to you again) > More pressure You can only loop the auto combo string twice though (and thats assuming your opponent isnt shielding at the right spots) since Azhi will actually slash through and miss his target. If Azhi didnt could move back or stay in his spot rather than always moving toward Chaos then this would probably work fine :/
Rikir Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 So apparently these are the top ranking Chaos players in arcade: 1位: ラウワン大好き 1708385 2位: カズヤЯ 1640988 3位: パプピプ 1531876 4位: ロケット@福岡ケイアスおじさん 1498470 5位: 町田ぽんこつくん 1470469 6位: サド犬 1371679 7位: せはらだよ 1120496 8位: 優 猫 1102784 9位: リントナム 1090411 10位: 【恭】 1018072 But im having trouble finding matches for the highest ranked player. Rauwan Love (?). Anyone see this guy?
Sourenga Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 But im having trouble finding matches for the highest ranked player. Rauwan Love (?). Anyone see this guy? What Japanese players write to their profile cards usually isn't the name they are most known, but instead jokes and other random stuff... Anyways, No.1 Chaos player goes by the name "Desumo". Though I'm not completely sure if he plays the game anymore.

Motakshi Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 It's probably already been discovered but a gimmicky corner combo that ends in fireball oki: 5B/2B 2C 5CC jB jC j2C 66C 22A 2C 5C j2C 214[A] It's nearly 3k in vorpal, which beats any other methods he has to get fireball oki sans confirms off a raw 22A/B or just ending a combo in 2C 214[A] I think.
Keech Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 But im having trouble finding matches for the highest ranked player. Rauwan Love (?). Anyone see this guy? UNI_PPPP https://twitter.com/UNI_PPPP as i know he top 1 right now. He also play on ps3. Also Mottochi deal BIG plays http://youtu.be/GUWP5AoDgWk#t=1441 http://youtu.be/GUWP5AoDgWk#t=1879http://youtu.be/OIr0QP_l_74#t=161http://youtu.be/OIr0QP_l_74#t=521http://youtu.be/OIr0QP_l_74#t=668
Sourenga Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 UNI_PPPP https://twitter.com/UNI_PPPP as i know he top 1 right now. No. Papupipu/Purple People/PPPP is only the 3rd best Chaos player in arcades (in RIP rankings). As a proof of sorts... That arcade profile page mentions his Twitter account. But well... the top Chaos players don't play the game anymore, so you could say PPPP is the top Chaos player...

Motakshi Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Do moves hitting Azhi count as whiffing? I was wondering if any moves could be punished by doing 22C postmortem (assuming it will track to them instead of spawning at Chaos's location) If so I figure it could help his longer range pressure game, as unless Azhi is on the ground, you can pretty much just mash 22C if you suspect a punish attempt and it won't actually activate unless he's hit Edit: at 53 frame startup I can't imagine there's anything it can actually punish, sadly, but I figure it would at least let you get in or catch them off guard

Postmortem attacks still need to follow the rules for moves that Azhi can use in each situation. Regardless, Ill give it a test anyway. See what we find ;o
Rikir Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Okay so I tested it. Annnddd it actually kinda works. From either 236A > 22C or 623A > 623B > 22C you can trigger the post mortem glitch. So heres the good part. When Azhi gets hit, he will fade away like normal. BUT, Azhi will respawn instantly at Chaos' position and then teleport behind your opponent to do his 22C attack. The best part here is that Azhi can be fully controlled afterwards and NOT instantly fade away like the other post-mortem attacks. So we are in fact instantly reviving Azhi as he gets hit.

If he doesnt get hit, nothing would happen.
