Vulcan422 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Alright, so I finally managed to log in when the servers were up and, surprise surprise, actually got to play a few matches. Here's my initial impressions. -Netcode is fantastic. I was fighting someone who wasn't even from the US with hardly any lag at all. -As I suspected, the gameplay feels like Killer Instinct, or Omega SF4. Everything feels more fluid and it feels like I have total control over my character. -As stated at the EVO panel, there is a lot more focus on fundamentals instead of execution and taking advantage of he game's systems. -Loving the new linking system. No more bullshit 1f links. Everything is at least 2 frames and up. -Also loving how much damage you can do off of basic combos now. Feels like a mix of SF Alpha and SFxT. -I fought against 2 Ryus, a Chun, and another Bison before getting kicked out. In all 4 of those matches, match data was unable to be uploaded to the server, meaning no EXP.

I've been waiting since fucking 9PM on THURSDAY and it's 6:30PM on SATURDAY, AND I HAVEN'T GOTTEN TO EVEN GET PAST "PRESS ANY BUTTON" FOR 1 FUCKING MILLISECOND!!!!!! Fuck this failure of a company and failure of a beta so hard.
Tsuki Garyuu Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Related to the Diablo 3 release fiasco when players were unable to get into the game for a long while. They always get this code. And granted, this is a beta (a horrible one), but I couldn't help but remind myself of this.

And it's absolute bullshit that i've had NO playtime despite spending pretty much every waking hour since it started trying to get in.

TekkamanArk Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 I actually did manage to get in. Loving Nash and Birdie, Cammy is a lot of fun too. Bison's alright, takes a little long to charge for me though. Ryu's just sort of whatever to me, and i've never liked Chun. They aren't in the build, but, Necalli looks great, and Ken actually looks fun. EDIT: Beta's closed indefinitely. This doesn't count as 1 of the 3 beta phases now, so there will be 3 more. There's going to be some sort of compensation for those who "participated" in this beta, but there's no way of knowing if that means actually playing matches, or just downloading and running it.

No-claw style has command throws and new attack properties. However, he cannot pick up the claw anymore (like Necallis V-Trigger) V-Trigger, Bloody Kiss: Allows him to throw a speeding rose at his opponent and follow quickly behind it to land a series of powerful attacks. V-Skill, Matador Turn: Allows him to dodge an opponent's incoming attack and choose whether or not to counterattack with a strike that knocks them down.

Mask had one of my favorite concepts in the game, but I was never a fan of putting the whole equipment thing on top of it. And now they took that out and gave him command grabs!

When she pops V-Trigger, her partner comes in. Different directions when using V-Trigger make different assists, but, it's one and done.

Having her tag team partner as her V-trigger is awesome. Her V-skill and CA are gonna produce so much salt :P.Can't wait to see more of her.
