so you're saying that it only had 8 entrants because people didn't have the new game which is being played? what happened to passion which would end up more like this? "oh its extend which I won't get to play till Feb, since I'm so deeply in love with BB and the game is so alive, I will pay 20 dollars just to play casuals and a tourney to get to play this game as soon as possible? There really is no reason why theres only 8 entrants outside of 1) dead game is dead 2) outside of 8 players, nobody else has passion in the game hope you guys wake up to "why its not at EVO"

depends on interest. imo best to keep it at 8 teams cap for cleaner brackets, so with up to 16 people 2v2, 16-24 people 3v3... and i doubt we'll get more than 24 if we do, move to k2's place

tourneys at gety should be restricted entrants because of how late gety opens and the fact that we only have 1 station. if theres new players who wants to join, a few of us are likely dropping out (me leo n hermes was gonna drop out yesterday to make it 16 people but then felt like we should play since its first ex tourney) thats my mixup for robo ky sir

imo tourneys at gety need to turn out this way 1. Strict start times - today we ran into stick problems and end up starting at 7, so that was really bad. Any tourneys at gety needs to start at 5-5:30, never later 2. Restrict entrants - 19 people today, no way shits gonna go down especially at 7, need to restrict to anywhere from 12 (top 4 gets byes) to 16... although i'd say the less the better 3. Rape face - if you are blocking, you are disqualified. It is in best interest to get things done as soon as possible. In general, I feel that tourneys are gety are ones that cant be too big, i'd even say run single elim. We cant really do a big tourney given 1 station and gety's opening hours. Gety tourneys should be super restricted. I dont want to go there and sit for 3 hours to wait for my game (which is what i end up doing anyway for casuals, but i always play) If you want a real double elim tourney with 16+ people, u need multiple stations, else shit will never finish. K2: we're not leaving gety for console, gety is always a better place to meet up for casuals, but for a tournament, unless we wanna sit in there to play 3 games over the course of 5 hours, its just not a good idea.

which reminds me what happened to that adapter box? lol did it just get left there in the open, coz i didnt take it... and we should figure out how to hook it back someday...

he literally means hes going to open up the arcade board and the ps3 pad, and solder wires together so that it works... not giving you a USB plug to stick in. it also means no button configs (and arcade versio probably doesnt have macros mapped)

i think cs1 rachel is actually better than cse makoto lol at least she can zone and run and have decent oki/mixups/pressure... only problem was damage makoto cant zone or run and her oki/mixups/pressure are all shit lol and she has lower damage

The boss asked if he should install like a ps3 pad onto the machine and let people use it... I'm like... sure... but i dont know how many people will be using a (public) pad so technically when that happens u have no excuse =)

round robin rewards people who win 2-0 more than 2-1 although thats technically useless in 1 round i suppose lol.

u cant exactly do 1 round round robins sir, you need at least 2/3 to make any sense of a point system. and how does the burst system work with 1 round anyway lol. Making it anything but round robin also defeats the purpose of the tournament, to get everybody to play each other for matchup exp and just lots of games with people of different strength instead of getting raped face. IMO, even a 2v2 round robin SBO style (say 8 teams... 28 TEAM matches, each team match = 2-3 games... 56-84... using same 4minute avg per game = 224-336 minutes = 4-6 hours) seems more reasonable. Its up to the people to team with someone you always play against, ie, I honestly don't need more matchup experience against hermes or leo or k2, so i'd team with them. Although I also honestly dont need to get raped more by brian, so maybe i'll team with him for self esteem. However, double elim is still the best coz it'll probably be done in 3 hours or so... iunno, ur the organizer, do soemthing sir

You should be able to tell that was a joke =_= However, Platinum being banned is real holy shit 17 people, considering dropping out, im too washed up and old to join a tournament with more than 10 entrants... especially a round robin. edit: Heres the math: 17 ppl = 136 matches? give it 4 minutes each 2/3 match (between sitting down, inserting coin, sit there and think about the character you're choosing even though its locked, then raping face). likely to take even longer actually. 544 minutes guise = 9 hours, and this is without top 4 lol. I hope you guys are ready for this. I'm not, so im not joining this, but donations to the poor are always welcomed sir, since I just saved an hour of everybodys time (16 matches)
