It seems like a good chunk of the cast is getting nerfs and/or people don't know how the changes to their character really affect them. So it seems like every character is getting re-adjusted. It's only the first loketest and I'm sure there's way more stuff to be found. Just gotta remain optimistic I suppose.

Also even if BK and DBD do get a nerf, if the speculations that the Bursts in this game work more like Guilty Gear's and Persona's then they might be necessary nerfs. I can also see BK becoming at least somewhat more practical if the bursts work this way since to me- BK's biggest weakness was that people could just easily burst out of it. Now you have to get back up to your opponent and now you're slowly losing health that you can't afford to lose. But now if your opponent has to re-charge their burst then I can see BK being used more often and the nerfs being more reasonable.

From the trailer here's what I've gotten from it: @ 0:44 Ragna does a combo that does 2912 damage. Since it's a 5 hit combo and ends with Hell's Fang, my guess is the player did DS>5B>5C>HF>Tsuika which does about 2927 damage in Extend. (Not much of a difference at all.) @ 1:15 Ragna does a raw Devoured by Darkness which in the trailer does only 35 hits and about 2208 damage (It's hard to see the number between the 2 and the 8 but I'm pretty sure it's 0. Not a big deal though) and in Extend DBD does 70 hits and 4416 damage raw. So I guess that move got nerfed but it may not matter too much if the minimal damage is still the same (or about the same). But there are a couple of things to note: No this doesn't mean you can use DBD outside of Blood Kain. Yes the Blood Kain bar isn't there but that's how it's ALWAYS been when you've used DBD in any version of the game so you can still only activate that move in BK mode. No it's not Unlimited Ragna's new distortion either since that Distortion Drive does only 7 hits and this one is clearly doing more. I also heard a rumor that distortion drives will end sooner if the move kills the opponent soon enough but don't quote on me that. If that's true though then maybe that's why DBD does way less damage in the trailer. So I know it's way too soon to tell until Loketest results are in but I agree with Fistmaster049 that Ragna won't get hit too hard in the overall damage department. He still looks like he'll hit hard enough, at least for now.

Gotch'ya! Also Next level doesn't have Extend as an Arcade cabinet right? Which system is it used for? 360 or PS3? And yes Crisis, Big Two is on Wednesdays.

Hey guys, I'm new here but I live one train ride away from the city and am looking to possible get more into the BB scene in the city. I guess my first question is besides the tournaments held on the 23rd of each month are there any other events or get together's that you guys do?

I'm well aware of how good Ragna is right now in Extend. I'm just trying to think of how Arc System Works might or could change and/or balance him out (especially since I'm assuming most if not all characters will possibly get new moves in the next game). That being said, I'm no expert player and I'm simply just making suggestions. So take what I say with a grain of salt.

All of the above suggestions sound great to me, especially the chip damage one. On a character specific wishlist I really wish Ragna would get something to make his mix-up at least a little bit more dangerous. A command grab or something that allows him to do more ambiguous cross-ups would be nice.

Deadspike and Gauntlet Hades are tools that you shouldn't be using in this match-up. A good Hakumen will just use his drive to get free damage from these moves. Battling Hakumen comes down to knowing the player more (although I guess that can be said about any match-up) but basically this match-up comes down to footsies and spacing. You always wanna keep him on his toes. If you don't rush him down then he'll come to you, and you'll just be in a world of hurt.

Thought so, so spacing is important when you knock Hazama down. At least I know that now thanks! What about tips for approaching him? Any specific tips like what should be respected from Hazama?

Is there any easy way to deal with Hazama's wake-up flash kick? Maybe it's just because I was playing online but I'm not sure how to answer this move. By the way, there's no invincibility on this move right? So if you're close enough to him, you can beat it out with a meaty (such as 5B) right?

Alright thanks guys! By any chance is there one thread that has a list of general option selects? I remember a while back there was one. I believe it had a list of stuff everyone could do and even some things that only each specific character could only do but I can't seem to find it anymore.

Alright I'm probably gonna ask a stupid question but I just can't seem to find the thread I'm looking for. If there is, can you guys point me to where I can learn option selects or at least Ragna's OS? I suppose while I'm at it, wasn't there a thread to learn everyone's gattlings or has that just all been completely moved to the Frame data/engine wiki part? Sorry for the dumb question, but I'd really appreciate the help guys!

Don't be embarrassed, this is pretty difficult until you and your hands get the timing right. The best advice I can give you is to input 44>3C right after you make your opponent bounce off the wall from follow-up 236C. It could be me, but there's a bit of difference in the timing whether you used Inferno Divider C or D but I could be wrong about that. Try also practicing just doing the Inferno Divider into 44>3C part in the corner. Keep in mind you have to do 44>3C rather quickly as well so practice just doing that if you find that being the hardest part of the combo. Hope that advice helps you out! -
I have a question after doing Ragna's Challenge 10. Since Gauntlet Hades' follow up time is more strict, is it also this that makes it much harder to connect with a high-jump afterwards due to your recovery time and therefore less hitstun on your opponent?
