True, but either way I wouldn't want BB to be an exact replica of GG. Not that I have anything against GG, but if you're gonna make a different fighting game then make it different from others (Which from what I see BB is different from GG in ways which is what sets the two apart). Speaking of GG's balance, how did the tiers look from each game? Like did it seem like at some point everyone was really good, and everyone was bad at one point or another?

Yup. I've been told GG in the beginning wasn't very well balanced with the first couple of games, but by the time AC came it was very well balanced. I think BB is turning out the same, and I think slowly but surely they know (or at least have an idea) of what direction they want to put each character in. By the time the next game comes out, the balance will be there. I also think that with CT they wanted to ease in people who never played a fighting game and with each new release they drive the difficulty up, with execution and even the depth of the system.

Theres a lot of stuff I like, though there are some things I would question. At the same time though, I'm impressed with all the drastic changes they made considering the amount of time they had, and the fact that this isn't even a new game entirely.

I'll keep that in mind. I don't know if he was joking around or not, but once Jourdal started posted GG videos on youtube account he once said that Ky was even easier to use than Jin!

Interesting....Well I might pick up AC plus if anything just for the soundtrack it comes with at the very least. I'm also trying to play other fighting games so that any fundamentals I can get out of them, I can apply them to BB. Same reason I got SSF4 to work on my zoning game.

Since you're one of the moderaters of the Ragna thread, I thought I should ask you, is it allright if I keep posting videos in the CS2 changes discussion thread? Or would you rather I just tell everyone that new Ragna videos are up? Just a question I thought I should ask since quite frankly unless it's Kaqn or Harakiri I don't see anything new about Ragna coming out of any other players.

I believe Dust was the button that was used like a counter assault, cuz heavy was the really slow attack... I actually found GGAC plus for $24 on a website. I might think of picking it up (for the wii that is).

I guess the biggest difference I saw in GG was it's not as button mashy as BB is, so like I could press one button, then press the button next to it and expect to get a combo to come out. At least thats how it felt. The upper left button didn't seem to do anything but maybe thats because the button wasn't working (So while I played I pretty much did the middle upper button and then that button down the whole match resulting in a three hit combo at least, although I did figure some moves out). The cabinets there don't seem to work that well, even when I played BB it took me a bit before the D button worked. But that could just be because there American cabinets and it seems like the only thing anyone plays at Chinatown is SF.

Well, just from playing it I felt the difference. Although take a couple of things in mind. I didn't know any of the character's moveset (I played as Sol), nor did I know what button did what. (GG uses a 5 button layout right? the bottom left button was like, weak attack I guess in BB terms, but the bottom right button seemed to use heat (or tension as I believe it's called in GG) which seemed to operate like BB's counter assault.)

Oh so a while back I tried GG at the Chinatown arcade.....WAAAAAAAAAY different from BB....

I understand from your point of view, I actually didn't know that about his lows which really does suck. I guess most people like me can just look past the fact that hes not as great as he used to be, but that he is way more fun to play and he doesn't look like easy mode so much anymore. I guess either way Ragna can only get better as the game goes on if he doesn't end up so great by the end of CS2. Remember that CT > CS Ragna got pretty much got a lot of buffs and minor nerfs and in CT he was solid. They also made a lot of system changes so between that and the regular character balances it was just probably a lot. I don't know how Arksys thinks about balance changes or anything. They do take results from tournaments and tips from pro players into consideration though.

Plus if Kaqn (an excellent player in Japan) hasn't given up on him, then we probably shouldn't either. Plus if he doesn't end up being that great than more than likely he'll just end up better in the next installment.

Hey I saw your previous comment on the Ragna CS2 changes thread before you edited it. Thought I might as well share my thoughts with you. It's necessarily the spirit of Christmas thats keeping (at least me) optimistic about CS2 Ragna. I guess just a lot of use see see the potential in him. Sure he's not easy 4K damage like he was in CS1 but he looks far from unplayable. Try looking at him this way: His normals are still Godlike, he still has excellent anti-air, he still has an awesome reversal, thats way more than what CT Tager or CS1 Rachel had at all. I think thats the way most of us see it anyhow. I mean sure, some moves may have gotten nerfed a bit too much, like I don't see why 2D can't be comboed with a RC and there arn't as many uses for 22C anymore but, they ARE still useable.

She looks a lot of fun actually, I like that one move where she tackles her opponent on a (heart thing or something?) and sends them flying to the corner.

Hmmm I see, I see...although I heard Jin's J.B isn't as good as CT's version. (thank God) OH! What about Platinum? You didn't mention her...
