  1. yea, repeating the Japanese phrases was easily the most annoying thing about the commentating, especially when the other commentator was explaining what's going on and Coopa decides to yell "Daifunka" over him. The SSF4 commentators really put the BB commentators to shame as they really do a good job explaining the tactics and the details of the game. I mean there is no question they know the inside and out and probably are good players as well, just wish they were better commentators. It really makes watching these things frustrating, as I'm not knowledgeable enough to watch the videos muted and still understand 100% of what's going but it's also hard to focus when the commentary is so distracting.
  2. Completely random and slightly off the America sucks at BBCS/Tokido trolled us/BBCS is a beginners game, but did anyone else find the commentating for the matches to be extremely annoying, particularly Coopa, almost to the point of distraction? I mean, sure I can mute it but I do like to hear the explanations of what's going on even if they're randomly tossed in a whirlwind of internet catchphrases and poorly strung together curse words. Granted, we're a small community that isn't taken as seriously but certainly commentary like this doesn't help the general perception of the game. Maybe I'm just an old man who want kids to get off his lawn...
  3. Yo , what up. I get on at random times. Grad school is keeping me busy so there are times where I go days without playing. The best I can give you is that if I'm on, it's usually sometime between 4pm-12pm CST. Sorry for such a big time span, I guess I'll see you on when I see you on.

  4. Ah, so it's more than simply canceling after landing j2a/j2b. I completely misread what it meant in terms of character specific, i thought it had more to do with whether you could hit them with a j2a or j2b ( i.e. your opponent landing too far away for a j2a vs too close for a j2b ) instead of where you hit them. Thanks Kousaka
  5. Just upgraded to 1.02 and I'm having a problem getting the dive cancel to work when I'm not in the corner. Granted I haven't played in a few days. My set up isn't the normal far 2C ( fatal counter ) to 2A ->j5a ->j5C -> j2a -> dive cancel. Instead I usually just 5C ( fatal ) -> j5a (2X) -> j5C -> j2a -> dive cancel to 5D. I usually get it about 80% of the time but for some reason, I can only get it to work while the dummy is in the corner. Anyone have this problem? Sorry if my nomenclature is off.
  6. this is great stuff. thanks skye!
  7. Just curious about other Dustloop member's opinions about taunting. For whatever reason, I've been seeing a lot of taunting when I'm playing CS. Usually doesn't bother me too much ( usually beat taunters) but I ran into one today (Casshern_Sins) who taunted me throughout the match but lost. Then they claimed that taunting is part of his/her " tecnic" which I assume was supposed to be "technique". I'm not talking about like a post match 720 C but the actual taunt button. Seems in poor taste to me, but what do the rest of you think?
  8. This match up is a huge headache for me. I've lost 3 or 4 rounds ( of the 5 or so hazama matches I've played ) simply by running out of time. Anyone have any suggestions on closing down the space to help build up the curse or simply put on some pressure? I consistently throw in bell bugs and try to poke with some variation of jD but all the Hazama's I've played simply wait and chain poke then counter with some of those really quick normals. As stated earlier, clouds are a lot riskier
