  1. I was talking about the one that'll be at GC for those who can't make it to the Portland Event. If you can make it to Portland though guys make that the priority.
  2. I'll be in Saturday, anyone else who wants to come by is welcome. Just remember we do have a fee for different hours. I'll have the info for the December 18th Tournament up soon guy's, so stay tuned =D
  3. Glad you enjoyed yourself, hope you do get a chance to come back sometime though, thanks for coming out =D And yeah, a friend of mine mentioned the same thing after I made the topic >_>. I'll use the new one for the third Tournament too though.
  4. You have all day and night so whenever you have time. Typically our All Night LANs close around 7-9am depending on who's closing, or in some cases, we don't close period. The decision to ban Valkenhayn came from the previous Tournament but you're free to do what you want during Casuals.
  5. Topic for the December 10th Tournament is up guys. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?10656-Gameclucks-BlazBlue-Guilty-Gear-Tournament-Round-2&p=863479#post863479
  6. Date: December 10th Times: Guilty Gear Start Time: 5pm BlazBlue Start Time: 7pm Come early so you'll have time to register, we open at 3pm on weekdays. If anyone is running late, please let us know by calling us or someone who is already attending. Location: Gameclucks 18717 76th Ave W #A, Lynnwood, WA 98037 Registration Fee: GG:AC: $5 BB:CS: $5 Venue Fee: $5 Pot: This will be decided depending on how many people attend. More than likely it'll be a 70/20/10 split. General: - We have plenty of 360s but for those who absolutely WANT to play on the PS3 then BRING YOUR OWN SETUPS, TVs, consoles, controllers/sticks, games, etc. I can't stress this enough. This goes for Guilty Gear especially. We don't have any PS2s so we need people to bring in their setups. I will be able to supply one setup each for both games but that's all. - Bring your own controllers/Sticks or borrow one from someone else if they'll let you. - Button mapping is allowed. Let your opponent know before hand that you wish to do a button check/mapping - Pausing during a round will count as a disqualification. - The loser is allowed to switch characters, the winner must keep the same character. Rules: Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core - Double Elimination - Timer set to 99 Seconds - Best 2 out of 3 rounds - Best 2 out of 3 matches - Grand Finals are best 3 out of 5 - Button Binding is allowed - EX, Shadow and Gold characters are banned - Kliff and Justice are banned BlazBlue: Continuum Shift - Double Elimination - Timer set to 99 Seconds - Best 2 out of 3 rounds - Best 2 out of 3 matches - Grand Finals are best 3 out of 5 - Button Binding is allowed - Unlimited Characters are banned - Valkenhayn is Banned --------------------------------------------------------------------------- This upcoming Friday we are having an All Night LAN at Gameclucks from when we open (3pm) till whenever. Typically we have the Halo community that comes in these nights but Chris has given me permission to partition off a section of the backroom for this event. If some of the Halo guys come in more than likely the middle section will be reserved for them. We'll have enough room regardless. Like last time, for the first 15 entrants, $1 of your venue fee will go towards the pot, everyone after that will have $2 of your venue fee towards the pot. Want a higher pot payout? Bring whoever you can. This goes for both games. If we can get enough setups I'll section off a section for Casuals for both games. I will also try to have a station or two for BB:CS open for Casuals while GG:AC is running. I'll work with what we are able to work with. And to those who weren't able to make the last events, I apologize for the short notice. I'll do what I can to remedy that issue in the future. Also as a note, if for whatever reason there isn't many people for either game, the Tournament will be played Round Robin style instead of Double Elimination. ========================================== Date: Saturday, December 18th IMPORTANT NOTE: Chris is also hosting Tournaments this same day in Portland, Oregon. If enough people want to do GG and BB and bring setups he will be willing to hold a GG and/or BB Tournament on the side. If you can make this event then please do so. The Tournament in Portland takes priority over the one at GCs. For more information check the topic on it. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?10632-TourneyPlay-Portland-Dec-18th-2010-w-NBA-Sponsorship-of-the-event Times: Guilty Gear Start Time: 2pm BlazBlue Start Time: 4pm Come early so you'll have time to register. 7. Thanks to all those who were able to make it, nice to get a new crowd in the place. Also I apologize for the extremely short notice for those who couldn't make it, didn't have a lot of notice myself so I got things together in just this week, hopefully I can have it more organized for the next two events this month. Everything should hopefully be a bit more organized during the next two events as well. Also, aside from holding small Tournaments with friends, this was the first "Official" Tournament I've run, so if things seemed a bit sloppy that would be why. I should have the info for the next two events up sometime this weekend. I'll keep you guys informed. Thanks again for showing up guys =D

  9. When I said soft-ban I meant that I'd leave it up to the two playing if someone wants to use him, didn't mean any frowning upon by it.
  10. If anything Valkenhayn can be soft-banned for this occasion if available.
  11. We have WiFi but we keep it protected. There's a place in the back where the Tournament will take place to hook your stuff up to the network though. There's a guy who streams Smash every time and a guy who streams SSFIV occasionally so everything you need should be there.
  12. Depends on how many people we get and how many setups we run. This Tournament only comprises of 1v1 Double Elimination for both BB and GG so it shouldn't take the whole day. Most of our Tournaments can run till 8pm onward but are usually coming to a close not long after.
  13. I've also been interning at Gameclucks and can further vouch for Veteru's statement. Make it happen people!
  14. We have about 6 to 8 CRT monitors to work on. TV wise I'd say we're fine, just need people to bring in their consoles, game copies and controllers. Also, if anyone wants to come in Friday night to play a little you're welcome to do so.
  15. Hey, gotta try something you know >_>.
  16. I've got some stuff to do today to organize things, if things work out I'll have more info later today.
  17. I've got some stuff to do today to organize things, if things work out I'll have more info later today.
  18. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it, don't have the money, transportation or anything else to really attend. Also busy trying to get these Tournaments going this month and it's a priority of mine as I have the entire month to get an idea how successful it'd be. If you see Chris try seeing if you can give him an idea how serious the Oregon GG/BB players would be if we hosted monthly Tournaments. Sort of put the pressure on you know. Good luck to you and everyone else going though. If things work out I look forward to you the Oregon GG/BB guys.
  19. And that's what I intend to do. He saw the Aki-Con thread the other day and didn't expect much and then he saw how many people signed up for GG and BB and was like "Holy hell O_o". The crowd is here, we just need to get everyone together and show him we're serious. If we can then we can have monthly GG/BB Tournaments. If we can show him we're serious about it he's all for it. You going to the Portland Trailblazers event on the 18th, Yugo?
  20. Hey Yugo, I think I spoke to you a few months ago, Smash tournament I think. Yeah, this one was pretty short notice, not sure how Chris has things scheduled next month but I'll try to do something.
  21. Yeah, all we have are 360s but if anyone wants to bring in their PS3 or even their own 360 with a copy of their game it'd be greatly appreciated. Same with Guilty Gear, need people to bring in their PS2s and their copies too. Otherwise we'll be running both Tournaments with only one copy
  22. I was actually originally going to do it on Friday but Saturday would give us more time. I'll be holding another Tournament (Same one) the next week and possibly the week after that so if you can't make one don't worry.
  23. I considered banning Valkenhayn due to him not being released for the 360 yet, but I figure if people bring in enough PS3 setups for things to run smoothly then fine. I'll make a final decision on it once I know what to expect. Also, quick question, I can move this to Friday as well if that'll work out best, just let me know.
  24. That sucks >_<. Also, sorry for the short notice of this announcement too guys, didn't get word until yesterday that we'd be open to hold something this month.
