It's been a minute guys, sorry for not responding in this thread because I have been REALLY busy. I just got to sign the lease to my new apartment and I'll be moving in on the first of June! ^_^ Furniture shopping, creating the new budget, preparing myself to live with a woman I actually care about, and of course the usual: School. All of this has kept me busy so that's probably why most people who have me as a friend hasn't seen me play much online. With UFGT8 at the end of the month and my move in is happening on the first weekend of June, I won't be in charge of our usual meet-up day but someone else can do it (Why is real life so harsh to me?), I would love to make it out there for next month at the beginning of June but due to my circumstances I cannot but believe me, once all of this has settled down, I'll be showing up and supporting as usual. I have no idea if I can even go to UFGT8 with my moving date so close to the tournament date but if there is room in my schedule, expect me to be there.

It's cool. I have a few more videos I have to upload and then I'll compile them all together. Once that is done, I'll be finished with this thread. Hellknight may have something he wants to do after that but my job will be done soon enough. I just have to get Kurushii's matches.

I just started taking interest in learning the Tao match up due to a random Tao coming into the area and beasting on everyone. I kinda can't have an outsider constantly winning here, so that's what's up. I'd rather hear from you about this so hit me up whenever you decide you wanna share some details. Also, we should stop discussing this here since it's kinda off-topic from what this thread is about.

But... you're an insomniac? How is that possible?! Also, Face-Jump is pretty legit as stupid as it looks, it works as long as you can avoid Tao's 6A. I went over a few of Minoru_Hoshi's tips on fighting Tao and well, it worked.

I can't win with Jin because of boredom. That's why I move on for a bit. I then go back to Jin and go on a mad winning streak. Seriously, Jin is an OK character, he's just got some nerfs that I'm not feeling. I kinda dislike the fact that some of my normals hurtbox surrounds the hitbox amongst other things. Okay, I had to go to work so I missed a lot, but I'll throw out my own two cents into this anyway: Yes, that is an option but really, if you neutral jump, he can easily run in and 6A (or 2A, I've seen that countless times before), if you jump back, he can use 5C to reach you or even Hells Fang (Yes, this can catch back dashes if close enough), and j.C? Same answer to neutral jumping (6A). You sure as hell can follow up with Hells Fang on confirm though, and if you're close to the corner, and have 50 heat to expend, guess what? Rapid Cancel can follow up and Platinum eat 3K+. Grabbing is an option but Ragna has the advantage over Plat in the air, if he's higher than her, he can just j.C her and if you tried to grab, you get counter hit, so guess what? You still lose out. There are other aerial options Ragna has in the air that can stop that or hell even teching your throw set ups work. It's not an impossible match and we are not making it sound that way but for you to say that Platinum has it easier in that match up with Ragna having better normals, better damage on random hits, better aerial options, and really good AA options, you really need to dig deep into the Ragna forums or look into your character again and figure out why you are having issues with a fight that's uphill for the opponent. I hate to be "That Guy" but you're calling Moy out for knowing more than you in a match up? If that's your excuse for losing then that sounds like a personal problem you have to fix. Like we said; the Ragna/Plat match-up is in Ragna's favor. It's not impossible but it is frustrating as hell to deal with. I know this because I know Ragna, and I fought a lot of Plats, good and bad and know well enough that Ragna has the favor in this fight. I mean, I can beat LostSoul's Plat ever once in awhile with Ragna and I don't main the character, that alone should tell you enough. Knowing more doesn't mean the match up is easy, it just means you know how to deal with it. Applying it in actual combat against another player is another thing especially if it's not the same player using Ragna.

You are obviously trolling here... you probably not playing the match-up right. Platinum having crazy pressure, LOL! All of this here is truth and I don't play Platinum but I fight her enough to know this is accurate. Ragna has plenty of tools to make Plat DAI easily, he can stop her aerial approach much easier than most others in the game and midscreen, Platinum has to take stupid risks like: Heart Car (hoping it hits) > RC > run in > stuff in the Ragna Match-up. Thats just something I can add on to what Moy is telling you. I could make a joke from this but I'll cut you some slack this time.

Dude, I'm not a great Ragna Player, but for some reason, people have been saying I'm one of the best , I got called out for it and won my matches because of how stupid Ragna is and it made me drop Ragna almost completely when people said my Ragna was better than my Jin. I like the character and he's fun but when people start confusing my "Have Fun Times w/ Ragna" as solid play, something is wrong... Not accusing you of it because I'm sure we've had this talk before but I though I'd bring it up again.

People can tell who the smart players are and who aren't by the way they play. Dumb does work but to an extent, if you play dumb and fool the other player then pull off your smart shit, the derp in the match can be justified, and Moy has been making a name for himself being a strong Jin in CT, he knows the game well so if he's derping all over your face, it's because he knows you are going to allow him to. Do things that will force him to play you straight up and take advantage of the situation but playing Moy in a straight up fight is a challenge in itself. Have fun with that, I know I do lol!

This. along with that, smaller combos actually work on smarter players. For instance, we get hit with a BnB starter that should do 2.5 or 3K and you cut it short, the smarter player's mindset will be on the optimal combo and there would be a chance that you will sneak a hit in and net better damage. It happens quite a bit but it works if you do it at random.

Fuck that Jin/Arakune match! Though I saw a nice corner combo that I'm picking up, the match overall actually made me yell at the screen. I had to stop working on a few things due to school and trying to find my own place (mostly this), but I have good news and bad news. Good News: I found my own place! I got approved for it the other day and I can move in June 1st! And my free time has opened up so I'll be able to finish up projects I haven't completed yet. Bad News: I will not have internet for the first 3 weeks probably that entire month. Hey, it's better than not finding a place, dropping out for a semester and going back to my mom's house.

I might not be able to make it because of two things: I will be moving into my apartment and I don't know how much that will set me back. Also, ECT takes place the weekend before finals week for me. If I have the money, I will try to figure out a way to go, if I can miss Monday's class w/o falling behind, I'll see you there, if not, then I'll try to show up to NEC. IRL has been throwing some curveballs at me, but for the better.
