I am being tempted with either beer or Blazblue tonight. It's a tough call but I'd really be bummed on missing out this week again. I'll try my best to show up by 19h not to miss tourney reg.

Aight nevermind the gathering at my place. I'll just host my sole friend like I was supposed to and we'll take it easy :P

Gathering interest for a possible meet-up at my place tonight. I got 2 LCDs and one SD TV ready for use, but my main console is an XBOX. I have only one pad with the "cool dpad", so you might wanna bring your own adapters / PS3s / joysticks. I'm not far from Frontenac or Sherbrooke stations. At work right now, so I'll type up more later. And check back. I can host about 8-10~ max. Of course that would require 2 setups otherwise there'll be a lot of thumb twiddling : P I'd have typed this on Sankishin, but it seems like Ubi blocks it :P

I lost interest in the series at the Edgeworth game, but in retrospective, that might just be because the Edgeworth game was bad compared to the previous ones. Guess I should consider getting the next game.

I can't find the actual news about it, but Francis told me about a 3rd party company making a hybrid Ps3/Xbox controller that would supposedly work on both consoles, allowing some sort of interchangeable D-Pad that emulates either X-box or PS3 configuration. Anyone else heard about this?

You guys staying there into the evening? How's it looking setup-wise?

Btw you can totally place a full hammer loop out of something else than a Heart Car! I totally saw a video of a guy placing it out of a counter j.C.

I think it's safe to say I won't make it tonight, let alone go to work, period. No idea what I have but it's bad. Oh and sweet, I can finally favorite my first two official beatings from two weeks ago :'D

I suppose I rarely stream anything over 720p, so that might be it. I can run 1080p locally no problem, though. Wait, what resolution was that vid anyway? I can't tell with my terribad monitor.

Might be a bit intense? It kept pausing to buffer more, playing a few seconds, then buffering a bit more. Also all the Code Geass OPs were ass, I thought (music wise).

Agreed about j.2C as an overhead approach, it's a relatively under-used move that doesn't seem bad at putting the pressure on, but the hitstun on it is terribad D: Also sorta easy to see coming when compared to the lightning fast TK Swallow Moon j.B. You sure I can't do the second loop from anything but a Circular starter?? I thought just 5B was fine for it. D: As for the 236A, I couldn't find a way to follow-up on it, not mentioning how risky it is. I've seen some Plats RC it and land a combo afterwards though, so it's nice to know there's that option.

Steb's got it, Plat's 6B into Dash A works only if you max range it, otherwise the guy will come to back to his senses faster, unless of course you Counter it, in which case most moves will work. I'm not even sure if you can even pull it off if the opponent is standing. It has a tricky timing to it, too, which I am annoyed at since I often input the dash too early and nothing happens. A lot of people seem to think the 6B is not that useful on the Plat boards, though. B Bubble to TK Swallow Moons or just plain 5A/2A to Dash 5A/2A seem to be their favorite way to pressure without items.

Smash guys are pretty used to streaming tourneys, you should ask around the next time you see them.

Depends what the big TV's native resolution is, really. I suppose BB supports 720p? If the TV's native is 720p as well, there shouldn't be any lag when playing with HDMI because it won't have to convert anything. If we're playing with composite cable, then the TV has to upscale from 480i, which is the worst situation you can possibly have, so of course that'll lag. Basically, as long as it doesn't have to convert from interlaced to progressive scan, it shouldn't make much of a difference input lag-wise. My own LCD is 1080p native, when I try to play Brawl on it in 480i, it gets an annoying input lag, but as soon as I switch to the component cables and go 480p, it suddenly becomes playable even though it needs to upscale through the roof.

Won't be there, neither will Francis as he's broke. I support the "Where are last week's tourney's uploads" claim!

Felt like there was some anime meet-ups going on. I watch 90% of my animes on Sunday evenings in marathon form, so I tend to ignore airing dates :x Except for Madoka or similarly epic animes. Also I agree about Nichijou being ultimate. Hell I wrote the Crunchyroll article for it :D

I have a Bluray burner, they indeed secretly became very cheap recently. But how do we end up with your Code Geass in my bluray burner? I agree with the idea of getting the cables necessary plug into your TV, it's what I do at my place and it's sweet watching 720p (or more) animu on my 42 inch.

We got a bum 'tard mere seconds after leaving Foonzo, literally screaming at us not to ignore him as we crossed the street not to cross his path. XD

GGs guys, even though we were 6 playing on a single console, it was an edifying experience. Thanks to Kaeru for bringing me back to down to Earth Furikazan style. Also Bibi, it seems we both have much to learn if we want to place those hammer loops.

I can't do the Hammer Loop consistently for the life of me, I still fail to envision where I need to be height-wise in relation to the opponent. The idea's to hit with the top of the hammer ( i.e being lower than the opponent ) right?

Me and Francis are still going to show up. He won't mind some GG I'm guessing, but I'd be a sad panda because BB is pretty much the only fighter I'm playing right now.
