I don't know. Unlimited mode seems more of a downgrade really. Yeah, he's a lot faster and less floaty, but that kind of kills his air game and makes launcher combos more difficult, not to mention makes his feint moves useless since they still go at regular speed. The fact that his curse meter also runs down three times as fast kind of kills the point of having it in the first place, since the bugs don't exactly home in on the player, but just spread out across the screen, reducing their damage potential.
Actually, I don't really care for any of the new Unlimited versions. It's like ArcSys forgot that Unlimited characters are normally tournament banned anyway because of how powerful they are (plus the fact that the only people that use them online are neckbearded assholes that enable them in match rooms), and wanted to try to balance them to be on par with their normal forms. Unlimited Arakune in particular just seems to encourage even more spamming than regular.
