  1. iPLAYWINNER posted a better interview with the two. The quotes used in the OP post are somewhat accurate, but are taken completely out of context. http://iplaywinner.com/news/2011/3/19/eurogamer-interview-with-arc-system-works-on-the-future-of-2.html So, the reasons for not making GG games as of late is still there, but that doesn't mean the series is dead for good.
  2. The reporter is bullshitting. Not only did Mori and Ishiwatari both confirm that there would be a new GG sometime in the future, they did so in front of a large crowd at a tournament. There are also numerous "quotes" that sound very out of character and contradictory, such at the "BlazBlue doesn't have that because we wanted to make it a pure fighting game and not too easy" line from Mori regarding SF43DS's easy button mode, since BlazBlue has had a simple mode since the beginning. TL;DR: Bitch is lying unless I see some proper proof.
  3. It's worth mentioning that the j. HS also has crossup properties, since he kind of flips backwards. His j. Dust is also kind of useful, but I wouldn't rely on it too much outside of combos unless you're trying to knock them into a corner or trying to counter their approach.
  4. Honestly, I'd like to see some changes to his feints made. He's got some powerful combos, yes, but he's also supposed to have a heavy emphasis on mind games, and I personally feel those moves fall a bit flat in this regard. Maybe I'm missing something here, but that's my take on the whole thing. Everything else is about where it should be.
  5. If anyone has happened to have messed with CS Unlimited Arakune, he's especially wicked this time. He's basically back to his CT version in Unlimited, meaning instant curse. Only he still has the CS mechanism in that it's not lost if he's hit. And considering the size of the bugs this time around, that's a whole lot of shit filling up the screen. Everything else is the same as before.
  6. I don't know. Unlimited mode seems more of a downgrade really. Yeah, he's a lot faster and less floaty, but that kind of kills his air game and makes launcher combos more difficult, not to mention makes his feint moves useless since they still go at regular speed. The fact that his curse meter also runs down three times as fast kind of kills the point of having it in the first place, since the bugs don't exactly home in on the player, but just spread out across the screen, reducing their damage potential. Actually, I don't really care for any of the new Unlimited versions. It's like ArcSys forgot that Unlimited characters are normally tournament banned anyway because of how powerful they are (plus the fact that the only people that use them online are neckbearded assholes that enable them in match rooms), and wanted to try to balance them to be on par with their normal forms. Unlimited Arakune in particular just seems to encourage even more spamming than regular.
  7. Without curse or cloak, yeah it's the easiest to avoid. When the opponent is cursed it makes it much more dangerous to get caught in. If he's cloaked at the time you do it AND the opponent is cursed, it pretty much makes it the most powerful astral in the game. So, in a sense, it's both the worst, and the best, depending on the situation. I think. :8/:
