While this is very true, I'd still like to point out that in this case the options are very black and white. It's either he dies or he doesn't. I'm not saying there couldn't have been things happening in between or any other endings are this stark in contrast, but it's pretty safe to say one ending is, in fact, bunk. /delayed reaction, hi there.

Eddie actually has two endings in AC+: One where he fights Millia and, regardless of the fact that you win, he still ends up dying and tells Millia to remember him so he can "keep living" though her memories. The second ending has him running into Venom and somehow evolving out of being a parasite and becomes a self-sustained... nightmare-fuel thingy. Due to one of Millia's endings correlating to the former ending, I'd say that one's canon and his second one is bunk.
