  1. Being ignorant is fine. Posting like a tweenage girl is not.
  2. FU certainly isn't learning after I've told him multiple times to stop posting and being an idiot.
  3. I wish I could ban people for being fucking stupid (read: FU), but there's no rule against being stupid on DL. If there was, 95% of the forum populace would be banned.
  4. That was pretty fun. Bang is gay though. Also parking tickets are gay. What made this tournament fucking AWESOME: Hilarious Unlimited Tournament Random Guilty Gear Remembering Toki combos after two games (seriously I don't know how I did that) Giants win the first game of the series Delicious pizza for dinner THE MOST AMAZING DESSERT EVER: APPLE CINNABREAD PIZZA Holy shit I still can't get over how delicious that apple cinnabread pizza was. Good god. It was like I was in heaven. Easily the highlight of the evening.
  5. Pulsr has to save his secrets for tournaments he doesn't enter.
  6. So it seems like we don't have any new info anymore, huh? When is the next loke test, again? This weekend?
  7. The problem with streaming top 8 is that these are relatively small tournaments. For example, last NCI's GG was only 17 people. Streaming top 8 in a 17 man bracket is kind of eh......... Also, who is going to run GG while Jake is gone?
  8. Yeah I'm not really sure why people are even getting mad.
  9. Okay, time to play the role of PAPA JUICE since two people have IM'd me about the situation and, since I'm the one who is supposedly taking over for John, I guess I have to say something. Unfortunately I've been dealing with RL shit for the past month and my priorities in terms of the community have, understandibly, not been very high. I'll start off first saying that AJ and David bailing us out was much appreciated. You guys pretty much saved IPW's ass on that day, so thanks for that. That said, I'll start breaking the situation down. Haunts was supposed to stream for us on IPW. Unfortunately, he bailed on us. That left us with David and AJ, who had streaming equipment of their own. When I arrived, I think somewhere around 2:30, the stream had not been set up. As we all know, tournaments never start on time, and that is fine. However MB and GG were supposed to have started at that time. MB was supposed to start at noon, GG at 2 PM, and BB at 4 PM. When I arrived, sign ups had not even started yet, and the stream was not set up either. That is a problem. I wanted to have equal streaming opportunity time for GG, MB, and BB, but given the reality of the situation, that was going to be difficult. We were really strained on time because the event pretty much started three hours late. Had the stream been set up on time and with all the tournaments starting on time, we would have never run into this issue, regardless if Haunts showed up or not. The idea was to have MB run at noon, stream it in its entirety, GG start at 2 PM, stream it in its entirety, BB start at 4 PM, and stream it in its entirety. Unfortunately, all the tournaments pretty much started at the same time, leaving us in a bad situation. It was a series of unfortunate events, essentially. Even if every game started an hour late (MB at 1, GG at 3, BB at 5), it would have gone a lot smoother. That did not leave us with very many options. While I did want to give MB and GG more stream time, it would have been difficult to juggle all three games without screwing ourselves on time management. If we didn't have a stream at all, I would've expected BB to finish in two hours since we had five set ups running. Sometimes shit just happens and you got to roll with it. This was one of those situations. We couldn't have our cake and eat it too, essentially. The main issue here is that BB isn't swallowing up other games' time or some other straw man. People dropped the ball and either didn't show up or showed up extremely late. I can't do anything about people being late or unable to show; that is their own prerogative. The obvious, BEST answer to this is that everyone shows up on time like they are supposed to. That means MB should be starting at noon, GG at 2 PM, and BB at 4 PM. That way everyone is happy. Even if it starts an hour late for each game, every game will have equal stream time. If people do not show up on time, then there cannot truly be equal stream time for each game due to time restraints. That said, if the above cannot happen, we don't have a whole lot of options. We could have no stream at all, which means every game is treated equally, or we could just let each game stream their own game on seperate streaming channels, letting viewers decide which game they want to watch the most out of the three. A system of staggering the tournaments out was in place to prevent the previous sentence from happening, but that didn't work out due to people being... people. If everything had started on time or even an hour late like it should have, none of this would have been an issue. As far as shit talking goes, I already know Jiang was a huge part of it and already told him to tone it down (which he said he would). To be honest, Jiang wasn't even talking shit; he was just being an annoying asshole for the sake of being an annoying asshole. There is a difference between talking shit and showing up at an event and berating people. If Danny is being annoying, just feed him hotdogs and he'll shut up. TL;DR version: there is none; stop being lazy and read the entire post. Also, Danny is fat.
  10. It's more like professional Starcraft is pretty much going to die very soon.
  11. Forgot to change that when I copy pasta'd. Original post used - as bullets. Thanks.
  12. I could add some sort of poverty prize, but I dunno what. lol
  13. Not sure if I agree with that change, but it's kind of whatever.
  14. i lol'd If people are willing to pitch in for me to buy all of the unlimited characters, would anyone want to do a free-entry, best of one, double elim unlimited character tournament for the lulz?
  15. There is nothing indicating that she lost invulnerability on gravity seed. Animation being different does not mean an absense of invulnerability frames.
  16. Edited first post with the following (tell me if I missed anything): System Changes: When guard broken, throws are now green instead of purple Green bursting now removed half your primers rounded up, meaning a character with five primers would be reduced to two primers (old system: five reduced to three) Ragna: + 2B 5B now possible(?) - 5C hits later (slower start up or less active frames?) - GH (follow up spin kick) bounces much higher, making a combo after harder to land - BE wall bounds, making mid screen follow ups difficult (impossible, maybe?) - Forward throw wall bounds Lambda: - gravity seed start up changed(?) Bang: removed "5B slower; 2A 5B does not combo" removed "D nails launch on hit" + 2D JCable on block Litchi: + 2D, 5D less recovery. - jC has less hitstun. - j2D second hit pulls in a small amount. - ItsuuA loses staff on block
  17. Marisa = baller status.

  18. Yeah no bounce on D nail is strange. Doesn't seem to be an actual change. It seems like D nails have horrible proration now though? Can't really tell.
  19. With this system change, even Tager will be in risk of getting guard broken if he bursts twice in one round. Ten primers to five, then five to two. Bursting twice in one round for some characters or saving both your bursts for round three in some situations may not be that good for some characters.
  20. I will not lock this thread so Pozerwolf stops being a spook.
  21. Promoting this to an article. Except all the other stages you can easily tell by looking at the content of the background, but for the training mode stage, you cannot. See where I'm going with this?
  22. Back on topic, you faggots. -_-
  23. 22C dash 5B is a true 1 frame link because of the timing of the dash, not actually hitting 5B.
