Considering how long it took the tournament to end last time and how poorly 2v2s did last season, I have no interest in having 2v2 teams anymore.

It's more like it's a bad port. I mean look at the GGXX series ports. The Naomi hardware is less powerful than a PS2, and the PS2 ports actually don't have the slowdown problems that the Naomi version does.

Zidane wishes he could be half the troll that I am. Ryougi's stage is one of them. Airdashes can cause slowdown in certain situations, among other things.

It's a legitimate complaint. If there was a stage that was just a big white zone and you couldn't tell where the corners are, you wouldn't want to play on that stage, would you? Stay free. Little does everyone know, Mike Z is actually a nice guy.

Who said zero grasp? Point is that it CAN be hard to tell, especially in the heat of a match. Even if it may just be a little disorienting, it's enough to change the level if someone wants. Stay free.

Except you cannot easily tell how close you are to the corner until the screen stops scrolling. Stay free. Anyways, GG Boss stage was banned for the same reasons. It's a valid point for a soft ban. Also, way to link the Evo GG finals vid where Evo staff did nothing wrong.

PS1 port is what they used at Evo before they switched to HDR.

Started this discussion in the "Standard Tournament Rules?" thread. Should the training mode stage be banned (hard or soft, it doesn't matter)? A soft ban means if a player objects to playing on the stage, it is changed. A hard ban would mean the stage is banned right out and is to not ever be selected; if it is selected via random, the players must go back to character select and either choose a stage or reselect a random stage. Reaons for banning: - Ugly as sin - Hard to tell where corners are compared to other stages - UGLY AS SIN So yeah, no MAJOR reasons for banning it, but something to consider. IMO a soft ban would just be enough.

Not sure why beginner mode would be banned... Macros within the game are NOT banned (e.g. binding L2 to ABC). What are banned are programmable joysticks/buttons/controllers such as mapping a button or something to do a combo or specific motion for you.
