sorry if its been answered already, but are there any good mixups/combos for tao with rapid cancel? the only thing i ever really see is drive -> RC -> 3C. any other notable ones?

lunar, sounds like a good idea. we could post tournament/casual announcements on it and its a lot more convenient for people to access. you (or shujinko) should make one. what the bb scene really needs to actually develop is someone who is willing to take charge and get the ball rolling

i would recommend the best thing to get the bb scene going would be to try get some kind of small tournament together at brians. unfortunately, this would mean a ct tournament and u would need to get brians' approval. if u manage to get approval, make posters/flyers and post one up on the cabinet with details of the event. attempt to post others around the college campuses (UH, HCC, LCC) or wherever u may attend school (even high schools). make the tournament have a cheap entry fee to encourage newer players to play ($3-$5). just bring the hype and encourage newer players. recommend them to dustloop. by playing in a public location such as brians, we can attract more casual players who may stroll by the game or just try it a couple times. if the tournament can draw a crowd, the bb community will grow. it's gonna take some effort, but we can do this

yup. it was nice to have an arcade casual session for the first time ever in hawaii. too bad it wasn't cs (ct = ) but its all good i guess. ggs to all u guys. great meeting u all and i hope u guys continue playing and get a bb scene started up here in hawaii. if theres anything i can help with to help the scene along while i'm up on the mainland, please don't hesitate to ask me. i really want to see a bb scene develop here, so keep the hype alive. when i come back in december, i'm bringing my taunt loop with me, so be ready looking forward to playing with u all again. thanks for coming out today. and solar, next time, no doctor appointments!!

wats up random 808 dl thread. i'm here for one more week and i see theres some talk about getting together to play some bb. kaneohe is far, but i'm willing to travel to play if theres gonna be at least 4 people there to play. lemme know the details and i'll try to make it.

So, I've been following NCI this entire time even though I'm in Hawaii. Really wish I could have made it, but it looked like fun. Props to Tao for running a great tournament. Anyway, I have a couple of suggestions: Tao, sorry in advance if this is what you said, but I didn't understand the whole week 1, week 2 thing. Make the ranbats regional (as you said) and host them (if possible) once a month at the same location. Use the same ranking system for all four regions (Sacramento, South Bay, East Bay, and Reno) similar to the system used at the monthly ranbats we had at SVGL. 1st - 4 pts, 2nd - 2 pts, 3rd - 1 pt, 4th - i pts. Hold these ranbats every month for say, 5 months. If possible, try to coordinate the ranbats to all be on the same day. On the 6th month, hold the big tournament, or BLAZING NCI. The top person from each region is guaranteed a spot on the 5v5 team. The last spot will be given as a player's choice poll. If one of the players fails to show up for the 5v5 exhibition, the next highest seeded player from that person's region will take their place. If the player from the player's choice fails to show up, then the person with the next highest votes is given the spot. Any ties are decided by a best of 3 match. I am of course, talking about BB since I have no clue about anything regarding the MB or GG scenes. I know that organizing all of this would be difficult, but this is how I think would be the ideal way to run things. Feedback please? Also, I don't know what is going on regarding the monthly ranbats we had at SVGL before, but I would like to continue to have both the doubles and singles events and I'm willing to help with the organization if help is needed (Phaethon H, Aginor, Spirit Juice). Although I'm pretty scrubby, it was always fun to see everyone and experience that tournament atmosphere hype. I haven't played competitively at all over the summer and I'm missing that tournament feeling.

taunt looping in 1 bar connection is definitely doable consistently. taunt looping with 0 bars... good luck. i've never gotten over a 2 bar connection yet (since i'm from hawaii and no one plays this game here) and i can pull off taunt loops pretty consistently online. only thing i have trouble with is 2C and 3C turn into 22C about 50% of the time and it pisses me off. 6B -> 5B -> 22C -> ->

and 1 BB player still here (somewhat). like u said, this thread is simply random

in ct, i put the taunt on the right bumper and could do the single taunt combos fine. then i bought a fightstick and life became a lot easier

so i'm working on the following combo: j.5D~B (CH) -> 5B -> 6A -> JC -> j.2D~B -> TL (until 10) -> 214D -> j.2D~B -> 5C -> 2D~8 -> j.D~A -> 9D~9 -> 9D~9 -> 3D~3 -> 236BBBBB, but i can't seem to get the last two or three hits of CS2 to hit. i also tried without using the 3D~3 and i still whiff the last two or three hits. is it possible to combo? (i'm trying on ragna in case anyone wants to know)
