  1. I found this thread very helpful, but if you don't mind can I have some elaboration on a couple points? I don't play very many characters at a high level so there are some combos I'm not understanding: Ky-- what kind of combo do you chain Sacred Edge into (and from what distance)? I'm being very unsuccessful in finding something that I can do after Sacred Edge to retain the beat count. Slayer-- what exactly is an example of a string that can be used to juggle (either regular or EX)? I imagine Slayer is going to give me a lot of trouble for this mission. I seem to get close with a Dust > j.P but not quite there and tacking on EX Slayer's 214214S overdrive at the end didn't help much. Zappa--what do you do before the double Bellows Malice (and again from what distance) to get 20 hits out of it? I've gotten maybe 16 or 17, but certainly not enough. Most of the time it only gets a few, but it seems like being really close to him is not the answer as it would be for justice's Imperial Ray. I also tried doing a Dust > j.P gatling in Raou form in training mode and could not get more than 16. Others: I assume if I go look in their respective threads I can learn the Raisengeki loop and Hoss' Dust Loop? I was unaware that Raisengeki had a loop associated with it, but I was trying 5K, 5S, 5HS, Raisengeki FRC 6K, 2S j.c, HS, D, 623D, short pause, 623HS, land, 623HS+623HS+623HS RC in training mode and I can't quite get it to 20 hits. Best I ever did was 18 and that's not quite enough. Also, on Anji- doing 2D, Fuujin + Rin, isn't connecting for me against Gold Potato in training mode. For some reason, when it follows a sweep, (S)Fuujin is giving him ground-sliding hit-stun so the Rin totally whiffs. In my experience trying Sol, I was also unable to do 2D VV VV, because although it connects, even in the corner Sol doesn't make effective use of the second VV. He ends up arcing around Potemkin for some unknown reason (pushback?) and it only does around 17 hits tops. However, I was able to get around this problem by just using Super Dragon Install and doing a Dust > j.P gatling (I did wish he had the DI Volcanic Viper in this form though; too bad it's normal instead). Millia's 2D > Lust Shaker^n didn't work for me either, but the only Millia combo I actually know did: 6P, 2S, 2HS j.c, HS, 66, HS, 236D, land, 44, 2S, 2HS j.c, HS, 66, HS, 236D, etc. until around 15 hits, then Bad Moon & some mashing.
  2. I'm trying to get GGXX rank on every mission. I only have 12 (vs Testament normals only; you're marked the entire time) and 16 (vs poisoned Gold May, begin with half health & life regen) left. I'd like any and all suggestions for cheap ways to accomplish this. 12 I am at a complete loss as for how to complete (even though I main Testament). 16 I have gotten really really close but as far as I can tell to get a GGXX rank you are required to end the fight with full health. If I fight as hard as I can fro the outset I kill May way too quickly for this to happen, but I've yet to be able to buy myself enough time to regen health with spamming Zeinests and untechable moves. I almost made it a couple of times but I'm really frustrated because I generally kill her much too fast to get all my health back. I have also been trying Chipp for a little bit playing triple jump evades and air dashes and a Gamma Blade when I can get one it--he seems to regen his health faster (is it a function of Guts?) but if I ever do get hit--and inevitably I will, he loses more than what he's regained too fast. Any characters I should think about trying? What tactics or ideas will be best? I appreciate it greatly. EDIT: turns out if you play Jam and pray for a situation where you can use the 2HS 6HS6HS loop mission 12 isn't totally impossible to get GGXX rank on. Still grateful for any advice on beating Gold May slow enough. It takes longer to regen my health bar than it does for poison to deplete hers and not being able to block is just... RE-EDIT: apparently Potato is the most appropriate to use against May. 236S with good timing until your health is full and then pray she doesn't hit you until you can do something like a hammerfall. I barely managed to do it. Which means that either mods can delete this thread or leave it if they think anyone else can benefit from what I wrote here. In other news these were the only missions that GGXX rank gave me serious trouble for, so if anyone wants a cheap way to do any others PM me or respond here if it's still open.
