  1. learn the timing for the 2nd hit and dash 2a. it's guaranted after any blocked ice car. You don't need to IB at all. just react to the 2nd hit and block it, you have all of blockstun to buffer a dash 2a. 2a 3c gravity > 3k ? They'll stop doing it fast. theres nothing else to this. if you can't do it, go to training mode block ice cars and teach yourself to.
  2. Well if it's not punishable, As long as you can establish some momentum then you should be able to get out. All you really need is to get her to block something.
  3. Back on topic... imo. If you can react fast enough to a green burst to RC and block it, By all means go ahead especially if you're a character that thrives off a strong pressure game like Ragna or Makoto. I find even for a character like Lambda, I don't want to get hit by a green burst. The knockaway generally means they recover before I do and I have to deal with them running at me. Not cool.
  4. Barrier blocking helps but she can easily get back in. Stagger'd 2A strings are pretty much godlike for makoto. If she sees barrier she can mix up when she wants re approach and if you're trying to 2a that, she could just throw a raw 5b in your face instead I think her overhead is negative though? I think this matchup can be summed up as "Don't get hit. Ever."
  5. Gotta be careful when to 2a. iirc 5cc>6b is a solid blockstring and a frame trap after ib.
  6. 5C 6C overhead/swallow moon shenanigans is fun stuff. I don't think there's anything tager can do to beat it. There doesn't seem to be a big enough gap even on IB for tager to do anything between 5C and 6C without getting fatal'd. and he has the best AA's in the game so don't worry about being hit out of the sky. < confirm ? When poking at tager's face, refrain from gatling into 5b as it's slow enough to get beat by butter churners (360 mashing)
  7. I would assume it's universal and just depends on how close you hit them with the 6DD. Also what would be a good combo to do off a 214A Fatal? I can't seem to get a raw 236C to connect - I was just derping.
  8. I'd think its because of his combo damage and meter gain nerf. Getting good starters on Lambda is hard if she's full screen (3c ch). His chains have gotten more annoying but he doesn't really get much off them and a lot of his combos really put you far away after, which is where you want to be. That and lambda has increased damage off random air sword confirms and such.
  9. What's made the tager matchup harder? Is it because magnetism is stronger that it's harder to keep tager away with his 6A buff and more sledge gimmicks ?
  10. I would think that its when arakune hits 50 meter it becomes hard to zone him because of f of g reaction punish into 100% curse
  11. Ehh Lambda feels pretty much the same slightly better. Her damage is a lot better with her new combos and she seems to have pretty decent oki now with 236D. I think it's just the fact that CS2 is more rush-down orientated and once you get in on Lambda and put her in the corner it's pretty damn hell for her to do anything. On the other hand, Tsukasa seems to be pretty beasting with Lambda so far though it seems like some of the players he's up against really shouldn't be getting hit by the things he does.
  12. because you're pressing 6D? 623D > wait for throw > A+B+C(Rapid Cancel) > j.6D. If you RC it just wait to see him jump, you have plenty of time.
  13. Wow. That's like a Blade-like quality post.
  14. 236236D Low recovery? What... Learn when it ends and just Houtenjin. Blocked 236236D is so free... It just has a good amount of invul.
  15. They do about the same amount of damage except one you gain like ~30-40 heat and the other you use 50 heat. Maybe if they might burst you can go for it but I think rekkazan is negative on hit but they're really far away so it kinda balances out.
  16. If you catch chain with yukikaze, Hazama can't do anything.. not sure if he can RC the chain and get out of the way but since he can't retract it i'd assume you can't rc and escape.
  17. chains are special cancellable so naturally they're distortion cancellable. It gives less damage than a BnB but it's unburstable so it may be worth using at times..
  18. umm.. wouldn't they pink throw?
  19. #1. Stop dropping combos. His combos are important because if you do drop them, you're losing positioning. And it's not going to be good for him like that. And most of his damage comes from j.214B# so you have to get that in. #2. Slow down. It feels like he's playing on a pace too fast for him. He needs to hit-confirm instead of spamming attacks on hoping for the best. Like he had a CH 5C in round 4-5 which was easily hit-confirmable into Houtenjin corner combo for at least 5-6k damage but he did nothing after wards. #3. NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER throw somebody out of a corner! > There's so many articles out there which highlight reasons why corner pressure is good and Hazama is one of the characters who benefits greatly. Hit-confirm anything into 236236B cross-up combo into at least 5k. also #4. Zone better. Use more chains and have plans for whatever they do in reaction to the chains. Also chain-feints.
  20. It's because of the positioning you hit them with using 623D. It's on the FAQ somewhere.. can't remember atm but less chains means they'll be closer so your dash 3C houtenjin will hit. You're probably just missing it on Jin because he's barely out of your range. Dash is cancellable into an attack at any time and since you hit him when he's further with 623D you have more time to follow-up so maybe try to hit 3C at the end of your dash. 236236B also makes you go foward a bit so yeah...
  21. 8D~A?... and thats like a default throw combo... >_>; cmon seriously?
  22. dunno... I like having the knockdown from j.214B.
  23. Cool. Can you explain why Tsubaki has a worse matchup with Hazama than Tager? Hazama's design just seems to destroy Tager. 214D~B just shuts down his approach, a lot of his attacks are slow and can be easily reversal'd out of and as long as Hazama doesn't make a mistake it's really hard for Tager to catch him. Haven't had much experience against Tsubaki so I can't really say much but it seems that there's just nothing to be afraid of against Tsubaki while against Tager you still have to watch out for his setups.
  24. Try not to predictably pressure him in the corner when he has meter. He can do his portal distortion through any D attack (spike chaser, D swords etc etc). It's not invul on start-up though.
  25. not all mid-combo dashes are links. ragna 5d > dc jin 6c > dc for example.
