Apparently there was some miscommunication or people weren't on this forum during CT days. Long story short, DC starting using arakune on xbl and facerolling and winning and he started calling his arakune "The People's Kune"

As a first hand witness, I can say that the People's Kune was the embodiment of the amazingness that was CT arakune. I dont think there was anything input besides 2c, j2a, j2b, and j2c. Unless, in the unlikely scenario they became cursed, then the input was rotating the stick counterclockwise while DC smashed his face on the buttons. I think his win rate was around 105% with it...not a typo either...the People's Kune won games even when DC was using noel.

Speaking of mirrors, I want to see turntablist and tsuuna go at it. I have a feeling there would be at least 25 tick grabs each match and am 99% sure each match would end with an astral

Damn, it has been awhile since I've posted here, took me a few tries to remember my password haha. Anywho, ggs everyone I played today, which was a lot of people...Starting to finally shake off the rust but I still have a ways to go. P.S. Playing in jay's stream is hella fun and I recommend everyone to check out his stream and chat when hes got extend going.

Apparently, it is being taken down soon though, but its a good place to creep on some people's names and find some dustloop rooms that are up. If a lambda is getting really, really predictable with the Act Parsers, a well timed throw will work for any of them, netting you solid curse meter if you have heat, or at least some breathing room if you don't.

When you say nerfing his instant curses, just to clarify, you still feel that he should be able to get 100% from a 5c or 2c FC, righttttt?

Yea, I would agree with that, the thing it seems to be with hakumen though, is that I have to be EXTREMELY careful trying to find an opening during curse. I would say that Hakumen is the one character that is(of course at a disadvantage) but at least as SOME options during curse. Whereas with a lot of characters they are forced to sit there and block and hopefully not have their primers broken. I mean, I am not saying the matchup is unfair by any means, but I would say it is in Hakumen's favor perhaps 6-4 nothing more though.

My opinion on CS arakune is that yes, he is a very, very, good character. Top 3? Debatable. The strange thing about Arakune, from myself playing him is that, against Bang, Ragna, Litchi, the matchups seem to be somewhat even. HOWEVER, Lambda, Hazama, and Hakumen, it is an entirely different story. Lambda-Arakune matchup is hardly any different then Nu-Arakune matchup. Hazama it is hard for me to comment on, because of the lack of good hazamas that are capable of playing on XBL. But with Hakumen, every fight seems like a chore, almost impossible to fight hakumen from an air-air standpoint as Arakune. So you become reliant on zoning with clouds(thank god they don't count as projectiles anymore). So then, you finally get hakumen cursed, but the fight is far from won. One well timing sword attack from Hakumen requires you to through yourself at the black hole where hakumen is free to keep you at a distance from it(and of course not throwing out any more bugs to refresh the time). Not only does he have the black hole, a well timed counter will lead to massive damage requiring a burst or simply Arakune is dead. So TLDR; Arakune is an amazing character and should definitely be high tier, but I am not sure if he can be top 3 with some of the matchups put before him.
