But in the sprite sheet, both eyes are not red because it's just an effect, and on closer inspection you can still see a bit of green. Edit: Getting back on topic. Ookami probably negates stuff connected to the Black Beast or azure. Iirc, Hakumen says that he killed Nu, who doesn't seem to die. When Ragna gets hit by him, his injuries won't heal, and he's afraid of Hakumen(probably since he is the Black Beast). And Arakune... well this is probably because he's also related to the azure

They still censored it with "Gauntlet Hades". That's why the English version was funnier. It was said somewhere that they were created for the purpose of defeating the Black Beast.
