  1. Does the 6C > 22B has a different timing for each character? I can do it easily on Bang in challenge mode, but I tried with Relius and I can't, he always techs before Haida hits.
  2. Thanks! I didn't know you could go into a j.2C combo from George.
  3. Wow, that's a lot of stuff to work on, thanks Jason D! I think the 3C>236B combo is already covered somewhere in this thread, but a list for the other 2 would be great. Also, what should I do if an opponent gets hit by George midscreen? It happens quite often in my games (probably because at my scrubby level people easily forget about him), usually I do a 5CC to push the opponent in the corner but I guess there are better options...
  4. You should also watch the position of the opponent when he's hit by 5B. He should be near Rachel and close to the ground. If he's too far or too high, then the j2C or the lobelia won't connect. As for the 2D, if you do jB > jC you should press 2D exactly when jC strikes, then immediately double jump, wait an instant and then press 2C. I'm struggling with j2C combos too, please correct me if I said something wrong :-/
  5. Thanks everyone. I didn't notice the counter, that's what happens when you watch videos (at work) without sound lol
  6. I don't know if this is the right place, but anyway... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evGUbQO1e-M&feature=related @4:14 the Rachel player does a blockstring that ends with 3C, then he gets an hit with 5A. But 5A isn't and overhead, is it? does this mean that the Litchi player simply wasn't blocking in that moment or there's something else? sorry if it's a really obvious question, I figured it was too specific for the beginners forum.
  7. Thanks! Usually the moves are too fast to notice that, but in the combo I mentioned the 214B -> 5B is a link and 214B has a pretty long animation, so it's possible to press the button too early even with advance input.
  8. Thanks, never thought about using it for j.C. I tried the advance input in another combo instead, the throw -> 214B -> 5B -> air combo, and it works... kinda. If I press 5B too early (as soon as 214B hits), it still doesn't come out. I have to wait for an instant and then press it. Does advance input still works if I keep the button pressed for more than 5 frames? edit: forgot about this bit: If I get this right, it means that to make it work you still have to press the button in a 5 frame window before the right moment. If I start pressing the button, say, 8 frames earlier, it won't work. Right?
  9. Oh, ok I know about that. But with sj, you have a 2 input move (1-9 or 1-8). Are you suggesting to input, say, 1-9 and hold 9 until the sj comes out?
  10. What do you mean by "advance input"? With Tsubaki's 6CC -> sj combos I input 19 as soon as I see the first hit from the second part of 6CC but it doesn't always come out (sometimes I get a normal jump or the opponent techs out before j.C hits). Am I doing it too slow?
  11. Thanks. So the best way to do it is press 6 while I'm still in the recovery animation and 6 again when it's over. Now, back to training mode!
  12. Does this applies to dashes as well? I'm having a hard time learning Rachel combos because many of them involve dashing, like 6A -> dash -> 5B -> air combo. 80% of the time I input the dash but she doesn't move at all and my 5B whiffs.
