That's probably because you're using NND during peak hours. NND decreases the allocated bandwidth for non premium users during peak hours. If you're a heavy user, I'd recommend getting a subscription, it's about 5 quids a month or so. You get quite a lot of advantages too such as watching streams you missed without setting a timeslip up.

If I'm not mistaken, the projectile itself is pretty much a joke with no hitstun whatsoever, and the effects only apply once the projectile hits. Your point about it being used during OD is quite intriguing though. I think we'll have to weigh both uses of poles depending on the situation once we figure out how to use lotus properly. In the case it turns out to be bad, it's not like we will miss it much anyway.
