  1. Yeah, I did. Most of the post was unnecessary, I guess, and something I could've just asked the Hazama section of the board. I'll ask the other part of that post again later, though. It was just me looking for a recommendation on who to learn for rushdown.

  2. CS1 Question: Can someone give me some decent blockstrings I can use to keep the pressure on? So far all I really use is just 2A > 5B > 3C > 214D~A and that is not very good at all.
  3. I have a question. When am I supposed to know when I should replace my actually stick part of my TE? I'm trying to figure out if my execution has dramatically lowered or maybe something in my stick is too worn down. I'm using a MadCatz TE Rnd 2. I've had it since August, so I think the problem is just me, but I want to make sure. As far as care goes for it, when I first got it, I would clean it and put it back in the box after every use. But lately I've just been kind of leaving it out overnight for days on end. There was a time earlier this year where I just didn't use it, but it was in its box for that time. I'm in training with Input history on now, and whenever I do a 623 motion, it shows up as 6623. But then again, that might just be my mediocre execution. I just want to be sure, thanks.

  6. What did they nerf on IB? Is it just harder to do with a smaller time frame or do you get less heat gain? Cause IBing is one of the things I think I'm slightly decent at =/ Everything about CS2 Hazama is working against me so far, lol.

  8. Didn't see this thread, ended up posting in general, sorry. Was wondering if someone could give me the basic rundown on what CSII Hazama is supposed to be like. After viewing a few videos, I noticed that his combos are all different than CS. Also, the gameplan in the videos I saw were: 1. try to get opponent into corner 2. Spam corner combos that have lots of position changes in them. (They're in corner, then you're in corner, then 623D and they're in the corner again, etc) I saw lots of pushing, I guess. 236D at the end of a string pushes them into a wall followed by 5D pulls into corner combos, for example, most of them while he is still grounded. I didn't see any combos where the opponent was in the air for more than 8 seconds unless there was a Jayoku. So is he all about the corner now or what?
  9. anyone else have a horrible problem with unintended dashes when you jayoku? it only started happening after i got my stick. really annoying when you do 214D~C > Jayoku and whiff the distortion because you dashed under the opponent.

  11. Stick is making me hate my life right now, currently on day 5, but I reckon I'll get used to it after a few months. I can do my basib BnBs but just regular maneuvering doesn't seem to work out too well. I often jump when I don't mean to and sometimes when I try to j.6D, itll come out as j.9D. I guess I just have to get a feel for the square gate. one thing I noticed already is that I could play all day and not get tired hands like I do with a pad and 360 motions are soooo easy now. 236236 still gives me problems if I try to do it too fast (IB Jafuckinyoku is a bitch), but again, I just need to get used to it. What I'm trying to say is that learning stick is difficult, but worth it. I can already find benefits. Sorry if this seemed like a weird post, Im on vicodin! No, but really. My stick stole my girlfriend and kills puppies.
  12. Yeah, on oki I usually go with 2A when close (watch out for DP) or j.6D when mid-far. If I feel gutsy, sometimes I'll 214D~A from a good way out, but that is probably a bad idea. It just works for me because the people I play always block low on wakeup. But again, its pretty much a free inferno divider for the other guy if they wise up.

  15. I did my first intentional IB jayoku today :D IBing online is hard to do e.e I end up just mashing 4 and sometimes I backdash and eat a combo
  16. im still not even sure what free is supposed to mean in dustloop context. from what i read, i gathered it means a person is a free win? i decided to just use it here to test it out. sorry for posting off-topic.
  17. as a hazama main myself, i can give a little insight. most decent hazamas will usually never chain in on block and usually only do on CH(at midscreen)or if they're at the opposite edge of you(hitstun for his drive increases with distance), where they have a guaranteed combo. if a hazama is using drive to run away, they wont always wait until max snake range to jump out because its not necessary. he can do 4D and then press D almost right after and itll give him enough momentum to go all the way across the screen. another thing they might do is 2D~D (makes him fly straight up) and then use another chain to whip him across the stage with increased safety (height). this will burn both his ourosboros stocks though, which means he cant use D~D, D~B or D~C until they regen (2 seconds while grounded). this would probably be the optimal time to trap him as his only mobility advantage is pretty much shot and his only drive moves available are D~A, 236D, 623D (be careful with jump ins) and his D stance moves.

  22. Thanks for the help. guess i was too blind to see section 10 of the combo thread despite rereading it 20 times today. i think ive hit a wall with hazama, i feel like im actually getting worse. x.x
  23. What should I do when I end up getting them scared and they decide to sit in the far corner and spam lasers? When that happens, I avoid chains altogether and just try to barrier dash my way in. Is there an easier way? cause I lose to time when this happens. x.x flinging myself across the map results in me getting DP'd.
  24. what type of things could you do to setup or combo into Hazama's astral?
  25. maybe youre slow at the input or the opp has really quick reaction. try and get it so you see his stance for only a fraction of a second. you can try the 214D~A earlier in the blockstring to catch them off-guard, i guess. im not really sure, his "blockstrings" are already pretty horrible.
