  1. Apparently overheads are just too strong, so they have to nerf them. Dunno why they did that, landing 1 or 2 overheads doesn't mean shit without meter anyway, it was just insurance. Since most people will be eyeing Hizangeki anyway.

  8. If only Jin was that easy to play. Sure would be nice to be on autopilot for a change, especially in CP. Its more of a fencing tool if anything...
  9. Moy, it seems you were right about 214B~C followup being a guaranteed extra 9 heat gain. That could be just what is needed to boost yourself to another EX or CT that Jin will always need at all times. That is just too good to pass up, and it seems most of my midscreen knockdowns will be ending with that option, of course if you think your good enough to mindscrew with Sekkajin stagger for another combo, then by all means... Also, the whole j.D to Hizangeki thing seems kind of fuzzy to me... it would be interesting to try out, but eh.... Saw a Jin use counter hit Fubuki just a bit past midscreen and then follow up with EX Ice Car to C followup for wallstick, for a decent 3k combo.
  10. Regarding the whole J.D thing, i meant when the opponent is landing from the air frozen, not the air dash, so you land then it seems like you can 5B,or 6A, Grab even. Also, it seems like you'd only really want to use Ice Car followup in corner, you would be cheating yourself out of a strong sekkajin knockdown, hell even a Hizansen knockdown might mindscrew an opponent. There's a lot of weird stuff you can do in the corner, but im wondering about tricks you could do with Air Ice Blade, the angle is iffy, but would you be able to use that as an advantage?
  11. Can you still do 2C>5C on block? Also, does it look better to either do 3C sekkajin for midscreen rushdown, or go for the Ice car without followup? Anyone find someone using Air Ice Blade effectively? I mean thats 25 meter... and im pretty sure that situationally speaking, you would only use that move in the corner due to its *fraudulent* angle. Would have been so much better if it had some more curve... I feel like Hizangeki would be the better option *If it hits anyway* since it has a longer trajectory, and can call people out. Also, been seeing people use Hizansen as a spacing tool lol. Its about time. Regarding hakumen and 5B, 5B is an unfortunate loss, but you should always try to test your opponents patience, and i'm more worried about getting 10k'd then some expendable pressure option. Besides theres plenty of other stuff you can do in CP to compensate, j.D is a free crossup, and if your opponent isnt paying attention you can get a free grab.. I need to see some more of that 6C EX Ice Car Whiff C followup, looks cool, wonder how much damage you can get off it...
  12. Tough battles all around, jins made the entire set look free as usual, but if there isnt any jin hate now, there will be soon. Still, guy isnt exactly SS+ tier or anything. I was dieing at all the hizansen's though, sometimes i wish it were really a legitimate overhead, would be hilarious. But that last round was very iffy, even tetsu was loling. Very patient for the real deal.
  13. And with 100 meter plus overdrive, you too can turn things around with absolutely no health whatsoever. By this notion, i say burn meter endgame, Fenrich vs those litchis was so ridiculous. He pulled a hakumen or something... There's always 25 meter for those cool 6B hizangeki combos though. Edit: Damn near 6K in overdrive for 75 meter midscreen? Why not? Kill confirmed.
  14. Now when jin says "Freeze" it holds a bit of definition. People will hate jin just because of this LOLOLOL. No more C mashing combos finally. Strictly meant for trolling, but its so worth it. So yeah, how bout dem meter? I wish they gave jin a Hiyoku followup in OD, its kind of sad that it has no powerup... why didnt they give it the Yukikaze followup? Also, is it better to use Fubuki or 2C in this? Also 6C-6B is hilarious.
  15. Sounds sexy... How long would one have to hold out in order to get a decent level of OD? Im not bursting, screw that.
  16. The only time you would even catch me daring to use 25 meter is on a successful Musou Tosshogek near the corner for damage wataru . Other then that, id much rather 3C Sekkajin or some other crap and hold onto it till i reach 50 meter. Then, id move in for the kill if i have overdrive and finish off the opponent. If i were to play it by using the 25 meter strategy, i might be taking a slow gamble... jin has decent meterless knockdown, why should i spend it when there's a perfectly decent opportunity to go for grabs and nonsense with J.D or even 6D? By having more meter i have more options, and if anything goes wrong i can always RC for free in case i mess up or something doesnt go according to plan. If i were to have my opponent near the corner with 50 meter and overdrive isnt it pretty much game over? That is guaranteed 5k if i can land a clean hit on the guy.

I wouldnt try using meter at all unless i have at least 50 of it, but its so damn retarded to gain meter in CP that its like... your gonna need to be getting some legit hits off your opponent and play a tricky neutral game, then start going for the big boy stuff. Nothing special about Jin's 25 meter tactics, ok you get 4k.. then what? The guy is in a knockdown situation but you have no meter whatsoever, and worse case scenario you had to burst, so what do you do now? You have no choice but to continue with the meterless swag, acting all conservative with your meter and what not. No meter no order. Thats where Overdrive comes in.. CT mode activate~ Free meter and free damage, lets go. We cant all be like hakumen guys, we cant all get free 8ks.
  18. Hizangeki is what all the cool kids are going to be doing, Moy is hiding out right now because hes going to be one of the guys burning an entire meter to make sure his lands. Ice Car is for trolling now i guess, but 6A needs to be used for good feints, also if they expect you to use Hizangeki or some other airmove, you can use illegitimate crossups or fake feints into a lol 2B, and continue the button mashing sequence. If all else fails, jins grab is looking pretty good, and it lands more then it should as far as i can tell, so dont be afraid to toss a few grabs in there to keep people honest. Anyone looking out for hizangeki, just grab em or watch their reactions, force them to fear you from all directions. Wait, can you do J.B J.2c J.C and then Hizangeki? I need to know. Well it may not be unnecessary since even when you touch the ground you can auto confirm 2B correct? That would put them in a "Hizangeki or 2B" situation. Or you might be able to do a few pokes blah blah Sekkajin grab blah blah nonsense.
  19. In other words, dont be afraid to hipfire Hizangeki. I read you. Naa but i was just saying that so many people will be looking out for it since a (lol decent) overhead for jin is like... its like Ice Car being low on first hit and high on second hit or some nonsense like that. People arent going to stay free to Hizangeki forever, so i was thinking up some fake outs with the Air Getsumei to try calling people out, maybe switch it up with Air Ice Blade for the lolz.
  20. Will 5D ever become practical? Is j.2c j.c loop confirmed on ragna? Can air getsumei bait anti airs effectively? Will jins Hizangeki inevitably become predictable due to obvious use?
  21. Is it safe to call Jin the Blazblue Battosai now? His CT looks legit. Hizangeki looks legit. Sekkajin looks legit. Legit. So yeah either Overhead for 50 meter or Hizangeki for 25 meter. The rest is midscreen nonsense. I see him being more offensive then defensive, and only bursting when your getting hammered by someone, since Overdrive leads to more damage, and if your doing your job you should be constantly hitting the opposition.
  22. Oh shes not awful, but she is pretty weak. Lol, that is not true at all. Ive seen some good CS1 rachels who have actually enjoyed playing her, and were actually frustrated when her damage was improved, eh i wont question it. Of course being nerfed to oblivion is never cool. EX jin is bad, but he isnt terribad. Some of these changes are unexpected but unfortunate. In fact they are so unfortunate they make it blatantly obvious which characters are easier to win with due to being "Balanced" It seems like with every buff there is a nerf following, and so on.
  23. It wouldnt be prudent to do that, seeing as how it takes time for the overdrive to recharge.
  24. Both are equally as bad, and jin isnt that high on up on the ladder either, well he was, until the tragic update. And its true, they did manage to make jin even weirder then he already was... like.. how are you supposed to combo now? Thats how bad it is. You literally need 25 meter in order to get a decent combo lol what.
